For the past several days I have been unable to load any of my existing costumes on my other characters. When I add a bridge officer or simply want to swap out a costume on another character, everytime i load one of my pre-built costumes, all I get is a default set of clothing... usually a plain shirt and standard pants. All facial and body features are set back to default for whatever race I an trying to load up.
I can save them after they are done, but cannot load them on other characters. This issue happens on all costumes, both standard and C-store ones I have purchased over the years.
When I save costumes, I don't save the rank insignia or things like the Yesterday's Enterprise chest gear or belt (Fed) or the Tal Shiar chest gear and belt (Rom). In the past I did and the workaround was to simply not save a costume with those items as a part of the uniform.
Ever since this issue has begun for me, I have had to manually redo the costumes for all my characters and bridge officers when making changes. I would rather spend my gaming time actually doing missions and STFs instead of standing at the Tailor trying to make a costume that is on another character when the simple solution would be to load what I already have saved. Since this is not an option at the moment, here I am.
Granted, this may not be a major game-breaking issue, but costumes are an integral part of the game and something that sets STO apart from other games... it's customization options.
I would really like to see some fixes for the bugged costume system. With so many other problems out there... namely problems with color coordination between clothing types, bugs with the FED and KDF reputation costumes, etc. I think this is a good time to fix some of these issues and move on.
