Unable to earn Sufficient Battle Zone Command Credits

While playing the Dyson Sphere Battlezone, Once I have managed to capture a point or Omega silo I am unable to gather enough battle zone command credits to warrant reinforcements or to finish the "Acquire Battlezone Command Credits"

Reproduction steps:
1. Beam Down to the Battlezone
2. Choose either City/Outskirts to start capturing
3. Progress through the current objective of said point
4. Await the drop of the Battle Zone Command Credits

You will note 3 things will happen,

1. You will get some of your credits, but other players who did not assist who were standing 'afk' the entire time you were capturing the point will come to life and thus take most of the credits on the side of the point you are not currently near

2. You will also notice that if you were lucky enough to not have someone steal the credits you clearly earned that some of your credits have fallen in inaccessible areas of the map

3. You may have gotten lucky and actually managed to gather all the credits you have earned or have been able to group with someone of the same faction as you to work together with

I'm posting this in gameplay bugs as opposed to feedback as my last topic on this issue was moved to bugs.

Its clear enough that STO has the tech to issue per person rewards, and we spent the majority of this year and last lobbying for tools to stop leechers and AFKers in STFs, why are such things earned this way? Allowing people to just stand and watch while players who wish to take part in the new content end up with a bitter taste in their mouths that they just spend a good 15/20 minutes holding off the voth at an omega silo, possibly on their own depending on their game time, only to have some guy waltz in and claim half of your rewards as their own

If this is truly "Working as intended" then apply this idea of reward distribution to things like STFs, making every fly around to gather their omega marks and their BNP before other other players. Yes there will be people commenting on this thread saying "Oh they're only used for 2 missions max", I am aware of this. but if this becomes the trend for new upcoming content then people won't want to play it if they have to grind twice as hard because Cryptic feel that your reward is fair game for anyone to pick up. This feature as it stands feels as though season 8 has taken 2 steps forward and 70,000 light years back

I for one do not wish to have potentially great content ruined by selfish players who'd rather use other players then work with them

The best way to do it in the least amount of time is to find an instance with hardly any players. One where the transporter sites are not captured. There are only about 4 voth and 2 turrets to destroy and once it is captured it nets you about 30 credits. Each map has 3 transporter sites with the park being closest to the player spawn point. You can just hop instances and in about 5 min get 120 credits to summon a captian and be done with it. All of this is from just capturing the transporter sites.

Thank you for this Redsnake, this I was unaware of, I just tried what you had suggested, and it worked rather well, up until 1 mark fell and landed on top of the little pylons around the transport,

Its sits there, mocking me "Nevermore!" Quoth the Credit :)

Really? They lowered the amount of needed credits to a measly amount for both mission objectives. If you are having a hard time with that, than you need stay clear of spots with multiple people and, get the lead out and hoof it to them credits faster.

Make a catian engineer, you can get everywhere (sometimes you need help from a other catian engeneer)

There's a better way that doesn't involve instance hopping, and I'll use the center point in the city as an example: roughly two minutes or so after you cap a point, regardless of how many defenders are there, the Voth *will* try to take it back, except they're not particularly intelligent about doing it. Killing those attackers tends to result in command credit drops worth 4 credits each.

If you're an engineer with the romulan plasma flamethrower turret? You know that thing is absolute murder with flanking damage, right? :3

I'm reasonably sure this is an intended game mechanic, if the command credit rewards are so great, because the ROI for cashing all those credits in is absolutely *pitiful* - 20 command credits per Dyson mark, and it appears to scale linearly, as the most I've ever gotten from cashing in multiple stacks was around 40 marks.

EDIT: And yes, I completely agree that the command credit awarding mechanism should scale with your contribution to capping/defending the point, because I frequently rail at everyone nearby to step up the dps when I'm seeing myself doing 150+ (it's not hard, guys, and I'm a friggin' engineer) and the next guy on the chart's doing 40 or below, and he's invariably the guy that runs around grabbing all the command credits afterward.
