Sphere equipment vender shows wrong faction pets

In the sphere allied command area, there are vendors for ship gear. The vendor that sells gear for EC is showing Fed and cross faction hangar pets to my KDF character, instead of KDF hangar pets. The dil vendor shows the proper inventory.

    The romulan ship equipment vendor is the same (as much as I remember the EC version) on the NR command center. I have a KDF romulan and I can buy Fed hangar pets (though I dunno if I could equip those pets... not like I want any of them).

    I did try to them out of curiosity on my kdf rom back then, you can't use them.
