While I'm counting the minutes to the end of today's maintenence and the moment when I take command of my brand new flagship, let me be the first one to sincerely thank the Cryptic devs. and particualry Mr.Stahl for keeping their promise and releasing a new T5 C-Store KDF ship before the end of this year.
You guys have been keeping your word and your promises towards the KDF completely this year and this shift deserves to be credited and acknowledged.
Many of us were very dissapointed when Geko stated that this ship might be delayed for next year, so it's really nice to have it as scheduled. So, I want to thank Captain Geko as well for reassesing his position on the release of this ship and giving us the Mogh at this time. It shows that you guys want to keep your word and that really really matters to most of us that like playing on the red side.
It really does go a long way to have your KDF players feel apreciated. I hope this newfound trust and shift in Cryptic/KDF relations that we're witnessing this year carries on in the future and forges a closer and stronger relationship between the red side and the devs. Many of us have said that we're not expecting as much attention as the blue faction, but we just wanted continous development, a full faction experience and to be able to really expect to get what was promised. In that regard, for me this has been a very good year for the KDF. This is one less player that will be on your case now
, with this promise being kept today I really feel satisfied with the experience I have playing the red side in STO.
So, once again, thank you Cryptic devs. for keeping your word towards the KDF faction throughout this whole year!
It's really apreciated.
And again, kudos to the art/design team for making a Mogh design that looks and feels so very Klingon and worthy of the Empire! You guys really do awesome Klingon designs, this is the second time I instantly decided to get a ship based on seeing only one screenshot of her. The first time was the Bortasqu'.

For the first time in 3 years of playing STO (as an almost-pure KDFer), for the first time yesterday it felt like the faction was really getting some love.

A normie goes "Oh, what's this?"
An otaku goes "UwU, what's this?"
A furry goes "OwO, what's this?"
A werewolf goes "Awoo, what's this?"
"It's nothing personal, I just don't feel like I've gotten to know a person until I've sniffed their crotch."
"We said 'no' to Mr. Curiosity. We're not home. Curiosity is not welcome, it is not to be invited in. Curiosity...is bad. It gets you in trouble, it gets you killed, and more importantly...it makes you poor!"
Thanks Cryptic. Its been a good year all round for STO. Congrats.
BUT
It (the Mogh) being a 99.9% copy of the Avenger is really weak from a game design point of view.
I understand this was a surefire way to please the KDF fans. Yet still it would've been nice if it had been done with just a little bit more of creativity.
'Every side gets the same' is the poorest form of balance. It's the last way out for bad game designers. Surely you dev guys at Cryptic aren't in need of that, right?

I completely agree with you on the points of how the ship looks and feels. That's what I'm talking about when I'm discussing Cryptic and their KDF designs - they usually hit the nail on the head.
This ship has fast become my main ship in the entire game and I'll be using her first to plow through any new content that comes to STO in the future.
Breaking that promise is worth it however seeing as the devs busted out this new gem
I will praise Cryptic only if or when they make another KDF ship within the next 4 months with a unique and solid design and is not a another Battle Cruiser which since STO went F2P the only Tier 5 C-store KDF ships came out are 2 Battle Cruisers the Bortas and the Mogh.
Anyways they haven't kept their word per say but its moving more into a direction than it did for 2 years with pretty much nothing. If they come out with some good KDF stuff before their next season release than it would be progress. That I could say but although I love the mogh I am still skeptical if they will start fleshing out the more hot topics of the empire that have never been addressed.
