Well, it's not like I mugged him or anything.

IMO, the Wells ship has been way overpriced in the XChange, so to see it at a tenth of it's usual ridiculous price was something I had to pounce on.

Of course Mhirtesc could show christmas cheer and send it back if the guy pms him...

    ....anyway... :p

In the past I've had the same experience - bought a tholian ship for 10m but as the player pmmed me (stating the rough time of the purchase, a fact only the seller would know due to the mail system), I gave it back to them for the price I paid for it

Gave me a warm, fuzzy feeling - at least until I posted a stack of contraband up priced incorrectly -_-

    Ahaha.

    Wait, you're serious, aren't you?

Anyway, that's pretty harsh. You should have at least given him some of the EC you were saving.

While I laugh at these types of threads and have several times pounced on misprinted prices, I still think that Cryptic should put in floating commas/decimals for every 3 digits when posting on the exchange. This would make it easier to accurately place prices and not forget a zero at the end.

Of course, we could just go back to counting digits

Good for you, but it's worth bearing in mind that your fortune is his misfortune.

I just hope that he/she doesn't frequent the forums and see this thread. They must feel bad enough as it is. :o

If you click away after typing in the numbers, it will place the commas for you. You have to do it before posting though, which most people don't.

I have learned from my mistake.

I have not noticed that. But then again I have never owned a Lockbox ship nor tried to sell one.

I once sold a Hypo for 20,000,000 ... Boy did I feel bad... If I had known people would buy them at that price, I'd have gone for at least 30,000,000.
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
Let me put the rumors to rest: it's definitely still the C-Store (Cryptic Store) It just takes ZEN.

    Wow! So much buttmads.

I'm sorry, but as I said, the Wells ship is ridiculously overpriced in AH, imo. I really don't know why this is THE most expensive ship in the whole game. I spent god knows how many keys trying to pop one out but getting nothing but garbage. But this time I came across a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity where one of the Greedsters let their guard down, and if I hadn't scooped it up that nanosecond, someone else most certainly would have jumped on it.

And I think that's the core of all the complaining here. The ones here complaining the most wished it was them that had scored this prize.

Let's face it, if you had seen this in your Exchange window, you'd have pounced on it too. Please don't lie.

You said you spent "god knows how many keys trying to pop one out but getting nothing but garbage" This is why they are expensive, plus the cost of buying older boxes to open. I wouldn't just blame it on the "Greedsters". Many times unless you just happen to get lucky you're trying to recoup a lot of the money you spent to get it in the first place. And yes i have pounced on items ive seen posted incorrect, but i hold onto them for a bit to see if i get a mail and return them just so the karma monster doesnt bite me in the TRIBBLE :D

'Course, maybe the person who put it on the Exchange agreed that they were overpriced, and sold one for far less than its usual valuation on purpose...

Possible. What do they list it's (vendor) value as when you move your muse over it? I forget.

And anyway, no one ever contacted me or anything in the past 24 hours as the seller, so I guess it's mine with no remorse whatsoever.

I've opened for around 1200 lobi worth of boxes (with an average 5lobis/box, that's a lot). No ships. I'm glad I used EC, stipend and dil for that, and not real money like some people do.
Still, I'm an idiot, as with all those key, I would have earned enough to buy a lot of box ships.

That's why the box ships are so valuable :) And it's ship form the future.

Your right about the stupid price the temp sci has jumped up to recently , ive been saving up for a while to buy one and now that ive got the 100-110m ec that they usually were the price has went up 50m in the last week or so. and as for those bloody lockboxes , ive opened about 60 of the temporal things in the last couple of weeks and im just sick of the sight of Doff packs , I wish they'd get rid of the things and replace them with 15 lobi or something.
