Never before have there been so many many single attacks capable of generating fatal damage in ONE HIT.

You dont need a supercharged ion uber crit of 300,000) (but i want it)

let us count the ways that YOU CAN DIE to >100k single hit dmg[RAW]

tricobalt
(less cool hy torps)
ion beam
javelin
gal x lance
kumari cannon
scimi tholaron
iso charge 4th hit glory
good old beam overload 3
RAM SPEED
?>PROTON BARRAGE<?

what i miss?

    u can vape an entire team at the same time now, so no big deal

    I've always wondered about the folks that die to those things...it's one thing if they've been buff stripped and debuffed to Hell; but other than that - I just don't get it.

    just a refresher, a good friend broke 120k non gdf base ion crit with new consoles. pwn pwn pwn! and proton is for real, already hit 60k crits without amp/ max buffs

    pwn them all

    He'll want that on the nerf list cos it aint cannons doing the killing :P

    That wing overload on Kumari is awesome - PS that match we were in Mini was the best match in a long time. Down to the guy who had the last shot out winning the game :)

    My single biggest hit I've managed to achieve so far is a 197,000 non-crit shot off of a Thalaron pulse.

    I'm sure someone can do better than I can. Maybe in the future I will get more goodies to get more power out of it.

    I've often wondered... What does "vape" mean? I mean, I get it, you're killing your target with a single alpha strike shot, but why the term "vape"?

    Not trying to troll or anything, I'm just not much of a "Gamer" outside of STO, and I'm wondering if there's any history of the word/term. Just curious.

    Also, I find the hypocrisy interesting that there are so many ways to one shot a target via "Tactical abilities" in a couple seconds and Cryptic seems "OK" with that. But Sweet Jebus forbid there be "Science abilities" that can kill a target. No, even if it takes them 20-30s to actually make the kill, Cryptic has to Nerf those abilities. :rolleyes:

    I feel plenty of sci love.
    GW is insane, then there is a fully invested FBP build, that shreds dps escort hulls.

    "Vape" is short for Vaporize.

    It was during a premade match we were once having. One of the guys in my team was smoking an e-cig (vaporiser) and at the same time we were hitting people real hard in a very small window of time. Name stuck since then...

    Have wondered, here and there, how many folks go above and beyond the vaporized aspect of it - to also include references to a violent sexual act. TBH, though, imho, I guess...it's much more preferable to have folks say they v'd somebody than they r'd somebody. At least there's the benefit of the doubt with the v that they weren't thinking r...

    What's Vape? I only use my Shuttle and 4 DHCs
    Now found frequenting MWO short term and then Star Citizen long term. Raged Quit PVP long ago

    Tbh, not sure I agree.

    Things that were stronger in the past:

    Trics were nastier before and target's hulls weaker. (Fun but rare bonus when the Bio warehead 1st came out was timing it to hit on one side w/a HY Tric hit on the other).

    Ramming speeds were much nastier and could be combined w/self destruct @ full health.

    TS3: could team wipe for awhile there.

    Things relatively as strong in the past, hulls/resist potential were lower:

    BO3 nasty kill shot for a long time, just a matter of getting it to land.

    javelin

    Things weaker now:

    PSW3 - used to be a kill shot in it's own right when Tacs buffed it.

    Pengs - Feds got this 1st and for a good month or 2 it was quite nasty. Balanced just before KDF got it ...

    Self Destruct - weaker and requires low hull HP, used to have a nasty potential w/Ram speed. See youtube for Fed space dock at launch.

    Ground Dy Hypo Spray/3 hit jump spinning combo: Doesn't really apply to this forum/threads and was out of place, but wow could you get lolz damage w/4 boffs buffing you w/12x stacking Dy Hypo and that combo.

    You forgot the Auto Cannon on the Bortasqu. You can get 5 tac consoles and a decloak bonus pushing that thing to some crazy numbers :) good times :)

    I love when both players explode. Thankfully I use reverse shield polarity with Feedback pulse now.
    The dress is gold and white. Over 70% people says so. When viewed from a certain screen angle it appears blue and black. The dress displayed on amazon is a blue and black dress, but it's not the same dress in the picture. If you're seeing blue & black you're slightly colored blind. A normal upright screen = white and gold.
