I find my Karfi lacking in survivability, unless I really pay attention to detail. It sometimes feels squishier than my BoP's. Still, it is a great ship and I do enjoy using it, from time to time.

I don't really regret any purchase I made. The one ship I didn't use that much is the Guramba. The build in beam overload IV didn't really convince me.

I wasn't thrilled with the Bortasqu' (3 pack) at first but, when the turn rate was given a slight bump, I began liking and using it and now, with cruiser commands, I like it even more.

Since it is such a "large slow moving target" then, for pvp, I install as many engineering and sci "survivability" consoles as I can ( sometimes *gasp* even commiting the unpardonable sin of replacing a tac slot with a "survivability" enhancing universal console) and use beams as the primary and often the sole weapon. With Beam fire at will and eject plasma I can be quite an effective "spam clearing machine" in pvp (are those stinking little fighters as annoying as a swarm of flys or mosquitoes at a picnic or what?) and will often use the Lt.commander universal position for sci powers like tykens and grav well too. With shields maxed out and the shield enchancement cruiser command active, I survive reasonably well in pvp (particularly if my team's "dps throwers" are good) and I will hit a friendly ship with an eng team III or HE whenever they go by close enough.

For pve, a nice "broadside" from an 8-beam/5 tac console (tac cruiser) beam overload III will put a nice dent in even the nastiest enemy ship or cube.

I hated the bortasqu' when I first bought it but no longer do and I use it almost exclusively now. Take a ship you hate, tinker with the build and see if you can make yourself like it. You might be surprised.
    ANOTHER NERF !?!

    The Hoh'sus.
Barely touched it and not nearly as good as my B'rel.
It might have greater firepower, but the B'rel more than makes up for that in speed and AFAIK the best bloody turn rate in the game.

Bortas. Hands down. Worst end-game KDF ship in existence. Definitely got ripped off for the price I paid. I've bought a number of other ships, and I have played and enjoyed them all. The bortas, though, is an unmitigated POS (IMO) compared to the free (dilithium) negh'var and Vor'cha retrofit ships that are available, let alone all the better Fleet variants now.

That's the one ship I wish I'd never bought. Would rather have spent the money (and yes, I used real money) on a different ship.
