I am very impressed by the additions of this season.
Although as a Trekkie I wonder why we have not seen the Borg at the Sphere yet?
As it was in Voyager (don't ask me which episode), that Seven explained the Borgs' almost religious fascination with the Omega Particle & how they tried to create just a small amount with disastrous results.
It is understandable that they would be more subtle with their approach (due to the presence of the Alliance & the Voth), but there is no way they would not be there.
Also, on a game play note, is there any chance we could have our Boffs respond like us in game?
I would like my team to duck when I do and if we could give them kits, then we could have cloaked teams more!
Another Trekkies POV on the new content...the Voth are a nomadic people that live on giant city ships. When we are doing The Breach, we are going into a giant colony ships, destroying it and killing...hundreds of millions of civilians. It doesn't quite sit right.
Hi, my name is: Elim Garak, Former Cardassian Oppressor
LTS, here since...when did this game launch again?
Um... at no point is the Fortress ship described as a colony ship... In fact it is a heavily armed and armored warship capable of building and repairing smaller Voth vessels to aid in their war efforts.
As for the Borg.... they don't know everything. Maybe they're show up later?
I just noticed that too, the Borg should be throwing their whole fleet at this, they should be abandoning everything just to try and get here, considering they think losing 23 cubes for having one Omega Particles for a millionth of a second is a good deal

Well as far as I can tell we actually don't destroy the city ship in the breach. We just cripple its power supply.
Bipedal mammal and senior Foundry author.
Notable missions: Apex [AEI], Gemini [SSF], Trident [AEI], Evolution's Smile [SSF], Transcendence
Looking for something new to play? I've started building Foundry missions again in visual novel form!
I fully expect the Borg to be coming into the Sphere later on perhaps as some mission we have to do. At least it would be entertaining squaring off against the borg and the voth in one fight xD

No Drama, No Fuss, Just good old fashioned pew pew!
Well, there is a third zone to the space AV supposedly. Borticus commented on it here, mentioning it was delayed past S8 launch.
Unless it becomes like the Defera com station, maybe we'll see more about this then.

There's nothing in the episode to say the Voth are nomadic. In fact, the episode mentions penal colonies and settled worlds, and some extent of territorial claim with tiered levels of rights for native and non-native species within that range.
Anyway, the Fortress is not a colony ship. It's a military vessel. It houses and services most of the Voth's fleet in the sphere, it's directly responsible for beaming ground forces into the battle zone, and dialog in the mission against it references its appearance to intervene in fleet battles where the allies appear to be taking the upper hand.
And while it probably carries hundreds of million or even billions of people, the casualties aren't that high. We seal most of its fleet inside their hangars, behind doors that don't breach when the reactor blows, meaning they likely survive. Several dreadnoughts are visible in the hangar and are exposed to the explosion, they may be able to survive but will be take heavy casualties if they're crewed when the reactor blows.
We probably account for tens or hundreds of thousands of casualties in the assault itself, but after taking out the reactor the ship only appears to suffer superficial damage in rooms exposed to the reactor. The ship itself is intact, the interior spaces affected by the attack are limited to a strip along its belly, and dialog states it has only been crippled, possibly only temporarily (though cutting off Voth reinforcements in the sky and on the ground is huge, even if it is only for a few hours) Casualties are likely limited to "only" several million.
