Hm... Somewhat uncool. If I try to start the game, it crashes.
Had this as I tried to play on Tribble, now on Holodeck, too.
I heard something about DX11 updates...
Is it possible that my old, trusty ATI Radeon X1950 can't handle the new graphics anymore?
Had always a pixel shader error message on the bottom of the game's splash screen when starting.
And now, the game just crashes in the moment when that splash screen should appear.

According to the patch notes, I have to have the Sphere Influence mission completed in order to access the new adventure zone? That's stupid, I don't want to waste my time on a featured mission, I just need the Dyson commendation and some marks to grind the rep...
The last 10% seem to be taking its sweet time here and I'm sure that game will still be DX9 compatible. Think that this will bring the DX11 side of things equal to the DX9 version so DX11 will run as well as DX9.

Oh you poor fellow. You will be forced to spend 10 minutes of your precious time to complete a mission before you can start working for the Dyson reputation. Life can be so cruel. I wish you luck going through such troubled times.

agreed... If you can't spare 15 min then something is wrong somewhere... You don't have to do all your toons at once and there has been a week where you could have been doing them in advance...
But plenty of time to complain about it on the forums...
Of course, the game is down. :P While everyone else is lagging on loading screens at the Sphere, you can complete the FE and get in after the server crashes from overload. HAHAHA

For someone with 1 or 2 characters you'd be correct, for someone with 5, 10, maybe more characters having to do sphere on each is allot of wasted time. It was a well put together mission but I have no desire to run it a dozen times, especially since the carrier is so worthless.
There are two major problems I can see with the AFK penalty system: Avoidance measures, and false positives.
Avoidance measures are things that a player can do because, by experimentation or reading the forums/wiki, they have found out what the AFK criteria are that the system uses. If the system keeps track of how often you fire weapons, or move, or whatever, it won't take much effort for the deliberate AFKer to do the minimum necessary to avoid triggering being flagged as AFK. I once played Infected: Manus (Elite), and one person just hung back and didn't help out in any way, except to revive us when we died. They kept close enough to the action that it wasn't obvious they weren't participating in the mission, so a movement-based AFK-detector wouldn't have worked, and since they kept reviving us, an action-based AFK-detector probably wouldn't have either.
False positives occur when the AFK detection systems wrongly flag someone as AFK because their tolerances are too low. There are times in STFs when, because of the role you have taken on (probe interception in KA:Vortex springs to mind, or close protection for the Kang in Cure: Found), you don't get the opportunity to attack enemies for long periods, especially if the other team members are killing everything that comes in range. And what about KA:Stasis, when the IMRs are down and you're waiting by the door to the boss battle for the other team members to rejoin you? I've stood at that door for a long time waiting for newbies to find their way out of the big room, or for those who walked through the IMR to get down from the spawn point again, more times than I can remember. What if you're a poor shot and you never hit anything? What if you're at the back of the group and the others kill everything before you get to it? What if you have to wait five minutes at the start for the fifth team member to finish map-moving? Or what if you're playing Hive Onslaught and you're waiting for everyone to respawn again on a range of long timers?
I think the AFK penalty system could be improved if, at the end of the mission but before you get your reward, each member had to rate the others out of 10 for participation, and anyone who is rated below a threshold level by all other team members gets the penalty.

Mission takes less than 15 min to complete...
Is this how you feel?
No. Your fun makes everyone else's fun wrong by default.
