Which Fed Race for best racials?

Come Season 8 I'll be making, like many of you, a new Fed toon. I'm wondering what the consensus is on the question of which race has the best racial traits post-LoR. I'm currently leaning towards either Joined-Trill, Alien, or possibly Human. Joined-Trill and Leadership (Human) are the only Space-influencing racial traits. On the other hand, Alien has the possibility of an extra free-choice trait. With new (powerful) traits coming out with every lockbox, longterm Alien might just trump all (which would be pretty sad, but they already trump all except *MAYBE* Human and Joined-Trill).

What say you all?

    Like you said, JT and Hooman are the only races that have a space-influencing trait. Aliens can get Efficient.

    However, if you don't already have one, you need a FERRENGI.

    Why do you need a Ferrengi? Because having a Ferrengi character is an accountwide benefit, as you can avoid paying the 25% non-Ferrengi surcharge at most vendors. Because eh, the little space boosts are tiny anyway, but not having to pay 25% extra for everything? Huge.

    Joined Trill or Human, whichever you have the least of on the rest of your alts. Variety and all, but since the new trait system came out, Aliens aren't THAT good since all the other racial abilities get consolidated into just one slot now.

    Can't live without that boosted jump. Its something you don't realize until you have it, then lose it by not playing a cat.

    Unless you're just aiming for spacey stuff.

    I was considering an Andorian, one of the main canon species I haven't tried yet.

    Bolian. You have access to Efficient Captain and Techie for Space (pretty much everyone has Accurate, Elusive, and the career traits); and Lucky, Peak Health (+species trait as well), and Teamwork for Ground.

    Unless you don't have a Ferengi... they are useful as long as you take advantage of their species for your whole account. Shared Bank and/or Mail attachments make one Ferengi all you need for your whole account if you buy lots of crud for your (uuuugh, grind) fleet holdings and Rep trees. Ferengi do come in handy, though, when battling economics :D

    Thanks all. I'm looking to be doing space PvE on this toon, and that is what I have in mind for stats. Though, a separate Ferengi alt is also in order. Thanks for the suggestion.

    What's the curt status of Efficient Captain? Does it stack with boffs? Is it equally, or more powerful than a single efficient boff?
