So I'm planning on eventually getting an Advanced Obelisk because frankly, I think it's an amazing looking ship.
The problem is: I'm not sure which of my up and coming characters ought to have it. I have four concepts that could all theoretically captain an Obelisk... but I don't want the same ship 4 consecutive times so only one of them is going to get it.
Basically I'm asking - Which concept sounds 'right' to you for piloting that ship?
1st) A crew of Betazoid clones with a constant psychic link. For all practical purposes they may be one gestalt consciousness with multiple bodies, or multiple consciousnesses that intermingle so much it's hard to tell where one starts and the other ends. Largely this is an aesthetic choice - the crew in question wear white uniforms and I feel that having drones (the Swarmers) as opposed to piloted fighters suits them better. (After all, no more of these clones are being made, and it'd really suck to be psychically linked to someone as they die in an exploding fighter)
2) A crew of liberated Borg that run a search and rescue ship; I'm thinking the Obelisk's heavy emphasis on tanking could easily work out to a hefty amount of healing as well; and the mechanical drones again suit the crew better than piloted ships. As with the previous group they also have white uniforms, so they have an aesthetic link to the ship as well.
3) A crew of holographic officers who act as something like a traveling USO show for the Federation's more distant postings. I'm thinking the Obelisk is practically space-station sized, so making it into a giant spaceborne nightclub could work. The Swarmers also have the advantage of using beam weapons to create a laser light show in addition to the multicolored beams I plan for the ship to use (one of each damage type).
Probably my silliest idea, but also an enjoyable one.
4) Something new designed specifically for the Obelisk, probably something that vibes off of Portal as the ship seriously makes me think of those two games.
Ideas?

My Obelisk is flown by a Klingon scientist who got into trouble because she kept contact with her brother on the Federation side. So she couldn't stay with the KDF, but didn't want to join Starfleet completely either. An almost fully automated alien ship to study and a crew of misfits in brown winter coats fits her perfectly.
Concerning your crews it depends on how far you want to go. The liberated Borg crew assimilating (getting the sets) a ship the Collective would love to get its hands on would be pretty cool. Otherwise 4) is interesting. Maybe the Iconians had their servants test members of different species in a Portal-like environment (for better understanding of their thinking and problem-solving skills, instead of just how they can be used against each other like Hakeev did). But they escaped and stole an Obelisk. Could be an interesting crew with one member of each species.
FKA K-Tar, grumpy Klingon/El-Aurian hybrid. Now assimilated by PWE.

I particularly like the Holo-USO show, but I think the psyhically-linked Betazoids probably go hand-in-hand with the ships' organic-esque design.
