And it's even better than the Atrox (I want a refund). Now carriers are no longer unique. Just another common ship, like a cruiser.
Since you guys went that far, why not just go all the way and give us the anti-proton XII hardware from the mission?

Replay the mission.
Because if they did, you'd then complain that everyone was using Anti-proton weapons and that they were no longer unique.

apart from the blu8e MKIX and the 360 beam, there aint nothing in the line of good stuff
It has a universal ensign which can be handy for tactical. That alone makes it better than a 2500 C-store carrier ship. My Atrox is a waste.

But since the Obelisk is UGLY as sin and way too common right now, I'm sticking to my Atrox. Still the best looking SCI ship in the game.
On mission replay, you can also get an AP Beam Array [acc]x2, mk11 at lvl 50, instead of the set pieces. Needless to say, AP tac console prices have skyrocketed.

whats the WOW for? we always been getting free ships for the past 3 years...Breen warship (probably the best), the Ambassador cruiser, the Risian corvette (just a few months ago) and now a carrier. Don't get me wrong and love "free" stuff but most of them useless and will leave it at that...I have them all but cannot compare to any of the locked boxes ships....still nice gesture from Cryptic
...Which is probably the only reason the free ship was a Carrier rather than a gimmick-cruiser or something.

I did like that we got a "teaser" for the advanced/Lobi version in the mission though. that was nice.
It's not like they're giving away an end game ship. They're not. There are ships that will far surpass this freebee. That's the reason the Lobi Version exists.
Situation above Earth Spacedock is similar. For a moment I pulled up in mine and thought I had accidentally turned on my subspace transport engine and flown into a massive Iconian subspace nexus monitoring Earth rather than the actual space around it.
I think you are, because normally Antiproton is really :eek: expensive on the exchange (you must be wealthy overloaded with dill & EC if it means nothing to you). I've been eyeballin' them for my JHDC, but this ship isn't so bad after some light combat. It's a tank,...and my hull is at 58,000 with the way I have mine setup. That's only 2,000 more than my Jem Dreadnought. Though I wish it had a 4th forward weapon slot. I can accept it the way it is.
The AP weapon and warp core have decent synergy with a timeship.
If you're using the Chroniton beam then you probably have a beam BO power or two and an AP build. I found it worth swapping a rear turret on a Timeship for the 360 degree beam. A few less DPS on auto fire but more utility for ensign beam attacks and more burst.
The 360 degree AP beam is a good aft weapon for AP escorts and sci, particularly if they already have another beam, which a decked out Temporal Destroyer or Sci ship would.
Correction, that's a Flight-Deck carrier, and it's not as good as this ship. The reason it was in the giveaway is probably because nobody buys it, especially with the Corsair and Fleet Corsair out. For 2000 zen, you can invest in a better ship like the Kar'fi Battle Carrier, or buy a battlecruiser that will do the cruiser duties better than the Marauder along with having a cloak.
The Marauder is like taking a Federation cruiser, slapping a butt-ugly skin onto it, and then slapping a hangar slot onto it. It's not the kind of ship the KDF goes for, not unless they're overloaded with Zen and have nothing else to buy. Maybe it sold better waaaay back in the past before the KDF had the Bortas'qu battlecruisers, and before the Fleet system expanded the KDF battlecruiser line by 6 ships. Back when all we had to pick from in terms of cruisers were the dilithium-bought ones.
I still have my AP weapons from my pre-rep/ random drop days. Look forward putting all my AP weapons on this thing.
There won't be a fleet version. Not only do non-faction specific ships lack fleet versions but the lobi version has 10 console slots. If anything, the lobi version IS the fleet version.
Also, to the people complaining about getting free stuff I certainly hope you don't find $10 on the ground next time you go out. I can't imagine the complaining you'll do then.
