On this latest run, I cleared the space around Vega Colony, and was prompted to beam down to search for survivors. Except that the moment I arrived on the planet's surface, I was prompted to beam back up again. I got the message about the ship being loaded with evacuees, set the satellites to warn incoming craft, fought more Borg, and finally defeated the Cube, with the help of the Renown and a few of her friends. I was then prompted to go to Admiral Quinn - except that since I'd never tagged anyone on the planetary surface, nor spoken with the governor or her bodyguard, "Assimilation of the Innocent" still showed as incomplete, and the Admiral had nothing to say to me.
And then I couldn't beam back up to my ship to try resetting.
(And I still can't turn off Half-Graphics, which is driving me nuts...)

Well I only got to where you were prompted to beam down and when I got there....was prompted to beam back up. Now there's nothing else after that like you and now I'm stuck unable to beam back down, fight or leave!! This is frustrating!!
I beamed up from Vega and the Cubes are just sitting there, the mission is not advancing at all. I tried a relog to see if that would jog it but no luck.

Same here...didn't have anything except all those non-moving cubes, exited all the way out and came back in now I have 4 Fed ships(The Reown,Khitomer,Defiant and Armitage)just circling around doing nothing.
Same here. I beamed down, did nothing and beamed back, defeated a few groups of probes and finally a cube with 4 npc ships, then the Vulcan caption told me to go back to ESD with U.S.S. Khitomer, but the mission guide displays "go to Vega colony" and I can't beam down to the surface or leave the system (the depart system button is grey and unclickable).
I returned to the tutorial today to see if would reset at the point I beamed up so I could continue, instead it warps me back to the beginning of the mission before I even beamed to Vega or blasted the Borg ships in orbit. Ugh I dont feel like going through all that again, but I will at some point, I will post either way.
EDIT: Replayed Vega and this time all went as planned not even a crash. Made it to ESD, but others are experiencing the same thing so it seems to be a hit or miss issue. Not good

I rolled a new toon to run through the tutorial again, and most everything worked fine until getting to the "Rescue Operations" part. I beam down with Flores to help the colonists, only for everything to have auto-completed, leaving me no option but the beam back up. However once back on my ship, nothing else progresses: no dialogues or objectives appear, just the "Rescue Operations" line in the mission list, and I cannot drop the mission, switch maps, or leave the system by any means. Logging out of the character and in again does nothing.
On an older character that I had left before entering the Vega map, I somehow skipped through all the space parts with warning the colony and the freighters and whatnot, and was prompted to go straight to the ground map. In that instance, I was able to go through the "Rescue Operation" ground portion in its entirety. However once again, back in space the mission is stalled with no options but to sit there and hope something changes. Weirdly the misson subtitle reverts back to "Dire Warning."

This was my experience again tonight as well. Though I did log out and return about ten minutes later. Which permitted me to advance through meeting the four Starfleet vessels. Who helped me to destroy a cube. After which I'm ordered to ESD. And tell my crew to set course. But nothing happens after I click that dialogue. Stuck in Vega System for the time being.

I'm experiencing that problem as well I can't transwarp there and I can't leave the system
I had this problem earlier tonight myself. What I did on the next run-through after deleting the bugged character, was to wait until red alert went off, and to make sure the text blurb showed up between finishing the ground and beaming back up. I got the text blurb, and the mission completed fine.
I'm starting to think the bug might be similar to one I've had in Night of the Comet, where a text box not seen and acknowledged can cause the whole mission to foul in the bar brawl. Basically, same deal to fix, just take your time between the first group and the bar, and it'll pop up when you aren't on red alert for the ground map.

This is my experience with my current test character. Can't transwarp and nothing is in the area but the cubes.
Having the same problem as well... can't progress the mission after being prompted to go down the the colony, then being said to beam back to the ship immediatelly, the space battle took space, was told to go to ESD, but the mission is stuck, as I can't transwarp or anything. And, the objective says to go to the Vega colony again, which it won't allow me either.
This needs a fix, for sure. <.<

It seems to be hit or miss. I re-ran the tutorial and ran into the same issue in a different mission of the tutorial, communication breakdown I believe.
I exited the game and relaunched and it fixed the issue and I finished the rest of the tutorial without any problems.
ive just patched and got up to dire warrings it told me to go to esd but wont let me leave the system its grayed out on mini map and no pop up to leave the system

i tryed again today it gets to the point were it says go to ESD but cant leave the system, mini map leave system is grayed out and no pop up to leave ether.
ive played since this game went F2P so i know how to leave a mission map.
@willbor2 - Sadly, if you encountered a bug during this mission, and can't move forward, you won't be able to finish it with the character. I started the tutorial missions a new, with a new character, and then even this mission worked fine. So, I'd guess they did fix the bug, but once you have the mission bugged on already existing character, it remains bugged and you need to start over. I tried several times myself, before throwing it and starting a new character.

Boo i cant be arsed to make a other char i just wonted to have a look at the new stuff

Yeah, I feel you. I was personally curious about the new tutorial, and I loved it.. wish all story missions were as nice as this one. But yeah, when trying to unstuck the progress of the glitched mission, the game did drop the mission and gave it anew, starting where I ended up, but it was still glitched.
Imo, they should let you drop the mission manually, as well as depart the system, that way you would start the mission in question from the beginning, without the need to replay the whole tutorial with a new character. Really hoping this glitch won't make it to the live server.

plus one for this... just had the same issue with a freshly made toon on his 1st run on the tutorial
just wondering, I am up to the 3 borg probes after getting all the survivors off planet (you also have to boost satelites)... how the hell do you kill them? All 3 versus my 1 ship i always get destroyed... is there a dimple way i am not seeing?

You're not alone. I've tried it twice now. All three converge on me and shoot me down before I can finish the third one off. Am I missing a trick here? Seems pretty steep compared to the game so far, which has been a bit of a cakewalk.
I get the kit, and then I equip it. It doesn't register and the mission is stuck on "Equip Kit". I deleted my char and made a second, same thing. Stuck and cannot progress. Certainly will not be putting any money into this game.

First make sure you have a shield with plasma resistance since plasma is the preferred weapon type for both the Borg and Undine.
Second, make the most of your available firepower. If you have a cruiser or science vessel use beam arrays from a single energy type (e.g. phaser, disruptor or plasma) with the same modifiers (e.g. dmg or crtH) and use consoles in your tactical slots to support that energy type.
If you fly an escort then a combination of DHC front with turret rear is preferable.
When in space left click on each weapon till it is highlighted in green to activate autofire.
For addition pointers we need to know your career and what you fly.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

That is fairly useless advice for lvl 1 with no gear. But +1 for autofire. -100 for the rest though.
I've played the tutorial two times with different chars, but still get stuck at desperate measures (which I've started over more than ten times already).

same here. help, anyone?
Didn't the missions get a complete overhaul?
Anyway, the borg are relatively easy opponents.

Otherwise playing the game is pretty pointless.
