To those asking if beam skills and cannon overlap. They don't. Cannon > Beam. So my initial idea was to use x2 rapid fire and in the small break between the cooldowns (5 sec) to use fire at will.
Low dps ofc since I'm a noob.
So now I'm thinking of using it on a dyson ship. Still need 5k zen for the universal console set. (I like those more than anything)

It has 832,4 DPS unbuffed. Weapon power set to 125.

I know my consoles suck atm and this is the free dyson ship so I still need the bundle :P
I am disappointed with the missile and the missile bonus..
I've been testing this out on my Fleet Defiant as part of a shieldPen/torpedo build using 3 DOff BO EWO's and 3 DOff Projectile Officers. The three piece set is phenomenal for a torpedo build, but the Experimental Weapon does not trigger the BO EWO's during a BO shot. I swapped the weapon for a DBB, and the DBB can proc the EWO's BO debuff.
There is a lot of potential for such a build, and there is no indication that the BO DOffs should NOT work with the Experimental Weapon. Could your team look into this and see if this can be addressed? If it is working as intended, could we get an official statement on this?

As for it being a build breaker...I don't subscribe to the "perfect build" theory, if a particular build works for me...I go with it.
