Fleet Emblems

It would be awesome if they would allow us to create and upload are own fleet emblems,If they are worried about censoring issues, then add an option to report offensive material. Just a thought would put more fun into making fleet emblems more unique.

    Cool idea, but likely completely impractical, for the reason you mentioned.

    It's not as simple as providing a way to report offensive material; Cryptic would have to pay people to review that stuff and approve/reject it. To say nothing of the uproar that could occur if they missed something.

    From Cryptic's perspective, I'm sure it's not worth the hassle.

    Also... just look at Call of Duty. Players can have custom things and there's ALWAYS something that would have to be censored. The few times I played at my friend's house I've seen... more than a few "Questionable" things made that way.

    In a way, its both an interesting idea and... not a good idea. Too many perverted minds on the interwebz.

    True maybe they might not want the hassle, but you can not compare to COD there are millions of players with millions of emblems, I don't think there are millions of fleets in STO.

    Another factor why this might not happen is CBS. They very likely have a say over fleet emblems.

    That said, perhaps someone could create an Art thread, dedicated to new emblems, and suggest new emblems for the Art Team to add.

    Well they need to fix their current issue with fleet emblem design, the system is still buggy and will not allow you to choose brighter color tones. Its still stuck on default baby blue - Fleet emblem design is currently BORKED.

    but I am on board with uploading your own images - if not that, they should add more images and options.

    Yes they need more choices of emblems, and to definitely fix the color issues.

    Regardless of up-loadable Fleet Emblems, I wouldn't mind the option of Character Emblems. Say three slots in which we can create emblems ourselves, for our ships?

    Hah! Quoted for truth. You've got to give those people credit though, some of those images would have took some time to put together. They were obviously dedicated. :P

    I'd just be happy to have more ability to customize the KDF armband so it matches my armor.

    The current palette makes it impossible.
