Okay so with a T5 token you make your character T5 in that rep?

And come on whiners, I as a F2Per ground out the zen for the account bank slots long ago. Don't invalidate my investment!

No, you just double the reward for complete a project (ex. Instead 2000 rep XP you'd get 4000)
How the Devs see Star Trek, apparently:
    Star Trek: The Original Grind
    Star Trek: The Next Grind
    Star Trek: Deep Space Grind
Star Trek: Voyage to the Grind

Right. Well. That's still going to take 15 days of grinding on each character! Not to mention I already get bored silly by watching loading screens for 2 hours every day from KDF dilithium slave doffing...

Is it so hard to make the token reduce the reputation xp projects wait time to 5s instead of 20h? :/

Where in the patch notes does it say you no longer have to fill in items manually ?

All it says is you can grind bonus exp...

I know they had this idea to timegate content to prolong the game but for me it had the opposite effect.

I stopped making alts and I am not doing reputation. And making new reputations worth less than older ones isn't helping.

    /edit

    ps. mainly talking items here

Nowhere. The Dyson Reputation requires filling up the rep projects with 1 Dyson Commendation or Dyson Marks, Energy Credits, and Expertise, but personally I will just do the Dyson Commendation and use the Marks for equipment projects. Of course, with double the reputation, then you only have to manually fill in half of the projects that you normally would.

Only have 4 alts, one I did as an experiment to see if you could make a pacifist character to level 50 that I don't use anymore and the other 3 are for each of the different factions. For the pacifist character, it was a pacifist after the tutorial since there is no way to skip it when I made her and it is almost impossible without duty officer assignments.

    It's not JUST ONE TOKEN...

You can earn A Token for EACH Rep, once Any of your Toons hit T-5 in that Rep.

At the moment that's FOUR Tokens for the current Reps.

Plus, when your Alt reaches T-5 in a Rep, you again get the opportunity to earn tokens for further Alts.

The Account Bank is a GOLD/LTS Perk.. you wanna use it, you gotta pay for it.

Just buy One Month of Game Time, I believe you get to keep the Alt Bank slots once that expires (?).

At $15 bucks you get a lot of extra stuff that you can keep after the game time expires, instead of just buying the slots for $10.

I don't understand. What does this token do the alt?

There will be 1 slider to move, the same system as the CCE single shard project after the 14 shard one is completed. Marks for the 2k rep are replaced with a token you earn alongside earning marks. Marks are used for the small rep project and buying gear. Read the tribble patch notes lol.

Do 3 events and get 3 tokens and you have 3 days worth of 2k rep. nothing else required. want to gain rep faster then you donate marks, otherwise you save marks for gear or creating double rep tokens for alts. Much simpler than what we have now.

That sounds about 100 times more complicated than what we have now, not simpler at all.
    Earn marks, slid bars, done.

Earn token, slide 1 bar, done. save marks for gear or use on the small project. Today we have earn marks, slide marks bar, slide expertise bar, get 2 different commodities slide those bars too.

    From patch notes: http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=878941
A single Commendation can be used to kick off a large reputation XP project once every 20 hours. This can be compared to the large XP project found in other reputations. It doesn't require marks or any other resource, only a single Commendation.
I don't understand. What does this token do the alt?

The T5 creates the token and gives it to an alt to run a double XP project that gives 4k rep rather than the alt earning and using the standard token that give 2k. Thus the alt will earn double the rep XP and not do a single event to earn it.

That's not at all how I read it.

It's not move 1 slider all done. (that's how we all dream it should be is why you read that into it)

You are still having to fill up projects manually like you have been up until now.

And, if you don't play everyday, even with double exp, it's still easily going to take 3 weeks, per character to get through the rep.

    10 characters x 3 weeks = insanity

The 3 characters I completed rep on damn near killed me. There were weeks where I took time off from the game despite having the resources because I litterly couldn't take it.

By nukara I had given up.

Probably I could accept the timegates I understand they are there to prolong the game but moving all those sliders manually not only is the least star trek in the game, it also totally wrecks the game for me.

I mean you got your 400 elite crew members and you an admiral having to go to vendors to pick 10 hyposprays up ? Really ?

I have 12 chars. I sometimes bother with starting Rep projects, sometimes not. I don't care how long the Rep stuff takes personally...

Theres a lot of obsession over how fast it can be done, Yes while its a bit daunting, Its also prolnging the game for me

This game allows you to level fast, From Lieutenant to Vice Admiral in around 2 weeks if you push it, and the content ( which has gotten better and better over time i think) is slow to be made and fast to complete, Rep gives me something to look forward too later on

Reputation actually gives some kind of benefit over time to continuing to play , generally i play mostly in foundry right now, but its nice for me to have those reputation projects give me some new passives or gadgets over time while i enjoy my Story based content and User generated content, essentailly i like being rewarded for my continued playing of the game with a few new things
