This one stayed intact and is getting activated because D'Tan insisted on it, and he is head of state of the planet's government (as far as the Federation and Klingon Empire are concerned at least). Neither nation wants the diplomatic fallout from trying to steal or destroy it out from under the Republic without permission.
Though hopefully D'Tan had the thing completely fixed before they turn it on considering what happened to the Dewans.
Well, can't squeeze a ship through, but big enough for a runabout.
I believe you meant "Cutting the Cord", with the portal that the Iconians took Sela into.
And you forget, we blew up both of those portals.
Starting to feel like it is Stargate with the portals and Obelisks.
No i mean the one in "Colisuem" ... after you and slamek kill the big worm.. you head into the sewers... in that room there is an iconian gateway. (look at my sig... that one)
There's no reason for Them to not activate BOTH at the same time.
???
Actually, there is. Re-running H&M would distract from the launch of Season 8. Given that the work has gone into S8, it's not neccessarily prudent to run the launch and H&M in competition with each other.
Just a theory. They might well run H&M at the same time.
You're just a machine. And machines can be broken.

I knew we should have been more serious about installing a Neutronium gate around that thing. Next thing we know, snake-y parasites will start infiltrating New Romulus...
All the other SG references in this thread and I only JUST got this one!

I thought that one was destroyed. If I remember correctly, there's an option that asks if you want to use it, but when you do, it turns out it's set up to self-destruct.
As, well, October 31st? Oh, boy, I need to tear through all of my missions, then. My Fed and KDF has never got past the Cardassian Struggle storyline and I just started with my Rom.
Well.. if those silly feds, klingons and romulans don't want it... I claim the prize of the Nopada system :P

When you try to use it.. it says something along the lines of "genetic mismatch, shutting down."
Because it's still within the Romulan Star Empire's space, and under the control of the Tal Shiar who by now, I'd imagine, pretty much run the empire.
I'd probably say that's why we can now freely equip cloaking devices onto vessels like the Avenger, since we likely view the Tal Shiar as fanatics, who have no legitimacy, so we can safely ignore the Treaty of Algeron concerning cloaking technology.
In the game Star Trek Online, the Treaty of Algeron is no longer in effect as of 2409 due to the destruction of Romulus and the reformation of the Romulan Empire under Empress Sela. The Federation fields two ships with cloaking technology, the Galaxy-class Dreadnought as seen in "All Good Things..." and a retrofit of the Defiant-class.
I'm expecting that the Iconians will appear packaged with our lvl cap increase and the Fleet Admiral system. If the fleet admiral system is anything like the ideas I've heard with yr boffs manning some of your parked unused ships its going to rock!

If there were only ten people playing the game, I'd tend to agree with this thought.
But I highly doubt that a previous Mission that has already been available multiple times since it's inclusion, would distract any significant number of players from the launch of a Brand New Season.
Also, since that previous mission only takes about 10 minutes (or less) to complete, it hardly seems like anything more than a slight amusement at this point.
(There's no intent of demeaning all the effort that was put into making said mission, it's just the way it is)

Is this a Temporary Mission like the one with Dr. Sibak?
Or is it a Permenant Episode?
I presumed, judging by the way it said "Add to the STO Story" that it would be permenant, but you can't be too careful.

Since the Dev blog said that after playing the mission we will be able to travel to the sphere from Tau Dewa, does that mean that the 31 it the release date of Season 8?
Ok so whatever happens.....I think we have no choice now.
We have to get our special metallic iris installed...a portable IDC....and the developers need to get ahold of Amanda Tapping, Christopher Judge, Michael Shanks and Richard Dean Anderson. And with those 4 portraying our mentors for this stuff I think we should have no problems.

Unless they are going to adopt a proper duration of testing it will most likely mean that 31st is release date of it LOL. That is if they do it like they usually do it and rush the release.

It was announced for late september. 31st of cctober isn't exactly late september.
Doesn't seem to be all too rushed this time.

31st of october is just the release of the feature episode sphere of influence captgeko said season 8 won't probally be released to mid/late november in the priority 1 podcast interview.
1. Is this a single episode FE like the one to get the Ambassador, Kamarag and original Oddysey?
2. Is the mission of a reasonable length (no more than 45 minutes if you read it all, and 25-30 minutes if you don't read dialogue)?
3. What is the time gate for getting the special ship reward? (especially important to know for us with way too many toons)
4. IMPORTANT ONE -- Has this FE been bug proofed to avoid unnecessary delays and frustrations due to unforeseen glitches? (not a 100% guarantee... but 99.99 is fine)
5. Will the prize ship eventually come out with a FLEET version? (speaking of that, how about a Fleet Chel Grett, and a special discount for those toons that earned it during the last Holiday Event)
I am looking forward to the new FE (and new free ship), but just want to know how much time I really should devote to it (a few toons or all my toons), especially if it later comes out as a FLEET ship.
OK... not 20 questions, but questions for you STO/Cryptic.

I like the name of the episode
Section 31
[Joseph Steel] [Jennifer Steel] [Dredd Steel] [Kenzi Steel] [Shira Steel] [Eris Steel] [Artemis Steel] [Stardragon] [Delta] [Alexandria Rose] [Number Six] [K'emb'ah Steel] [Karnak Steel] [Kacy Steel] [Venom Steel] [Areli Steel]
Also, as a side note, it will probably be returning in December also.

DELTA PRICE RISING
I like many others have been waiting along time for a new FE series, the waiting is soon over.
YOU ALL ROCK, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK DEVS!!!
That's what I was thinking.
Kanharn's Memory Alpha.
Dev said on page one you dont. Not that I would do it until I had.
You will be missing a lot of good game-play and story.
Kanharn's Memory Alpha.
PWE did not buy Atari. Atari sold Cryptic studios to PWE.
