Friday Screenshot Available - 10/18/2013

We've added a new screenshot to the screenshot gallery! Our upcoming Feature Episode, "Sphere of Influence," premieres on Thursday, October 31, 2013 and will advance the STO storyline.

    I knew we should have been more serious about installing a Neutronium gate around that thing. Next thing we know, snake-y parasites will start infiltrating New Romulus...

    How are people who haven't reached tier 5 of Romulan Rep going to access the gate?

    You will not have needed to complete T5 to access the mission -- the contact you speak with should catch you up on the story.

    that New romulus iconian gate way is proboly how we get to the sphere, at least initially

    You don't need to be tier 5 to get there. that's how.

    I'm feeling something similar to TA. Mostly ground at the start as we walk through the gate to get there, then comendeeer an Obelisk to get back.

    Devs.. I have a question... The gateway in the Nopada system ("Coliseum")... Why didn't we just go back to that one ? :O

    Looks cool.

    I'm wondering about the story reasons why we're suddenly trying to reactivate this gate though. We've destroyed what, 3 or 4 other gateways because they were "too dangerous"? Or did we even activate it? Maybe it just turned on by itself Stargate style? Either way, I'm curious now.

    Because it's still within the Romulan Star Empire's space, and under the control of the Tal Shiar who by now, I'd imagine, pretty much run the empire.

    I'd probably say that's why we can now freely equip cloaking devices onto vessels like the Avenger, since we likely view the Tal Shiar as fanatics, who have no legitimacy, so we can safely ignore the Treaty of Algeron concerning cloaking technology.

    If you did the mission we find out there is a gate in New Romulus, and the Romulans said they would try and activate it....guess they finally did, and found a shortcut to the Sphere.

    Yeah maybe next fridays screenshot will be from where we send in a strike team to steal the shrink ray gun from the movie honey I shrunk the kids. Then we just stick the bortasqu' in our smallest pocket and walk thru :D

    *Yawn* Another Iconian gateway. How many do we have now? And we have met the Iconians saying they are coming back yet we are getting every other species but them in game and only their gateways. Are they coming or aren't they???

    I believe you meant "Cutting the Cord", with the portal that the Iconians took Sela into.

    And you forget, we blew up both of those portals.

    Wrong. In Coliseum, as you exit the main area of the arena but before escaping into the desert, there is another Iconian Gateway. At no point is this one destroyed.

    Also, Bran - a 31st October launch date? Does that mean no return of "Hearts & Minds" for this Halloween?

    The special reward is probably limited time, the episode should be permanent like Temporal Ambassador.

    This one stayed intact and is getting activated because D'Tan insisted on it, and he is head of state of the planet's government (as far as the Federation and Klingon Empire are concerned at least). Neither nation wants the diplomatic fallout from trying to steal or destroy it out from under the Republic without permission.
