Graphics glitch making game unplayable after update

Hi.
Downloaded the update today, and now the game is unplayable. From the moment the Cryptic logo appears the colours go all wonky, and then when the character select screen appears it's like looking at a 3d movie....without the glasses.
If I select a character and load into game the effect is the same...but it comes and goes. If I mouse over some menu items this seems to make the effect disappear, only for a second or two.
My system:
Windows 8.1
Intel Core i7 3.4GHz
8Gb DDR3 Ram
Nvidia GTX660 (with latest drivers)
1TB Sata HDD
23" Widescreen monitor (HDMI)
Any idea how I can fix this?

if you update to windows 8.1 ... re-install your video driver will fix
