Question about Assimilation Accolade

Hi I was trying to do the assimilation accolade but after I died in the machine I didn't get the accolade. Does it still exist? Or is there a trick to it? I was playing elite. Any help would be most appreciated.

You have to do it before the destruction mechnism is started... If someone triggers it before you enter the tube, it dosen't work.

This was the big tube of death at the top of the compound in KG?

If you didn't get the accolade, perhaps you already had it?

Simple, you didn't go far enough in. Sometimes you die before you trigger the accolade.

No anazonda is right. It has nothing to do with distance. You have to jump in it before someone triggers the destruction mechanism. You have to wait up top before the last shield is destroyed and jump in before someone gets up there to trigger it.
