It's high time we got another KDF ship... and it's high time we get an actual escort ship...
If you notice KDF does not have a single true escort ship, bops are NOT escorts, not in the sense of the fed tac escorts, and neither are Raptors, Raptors are in fact, so borked and nerfed that no one even uses them. I think it is time for the KDF to get it's first, true escort ship... and I think that ship should be the K'Vort.

I don't have a problem whooping TRIBBLE with a free Raptor in PvP same as my Fleet Advanced Escort on the Fed side.
I'm all for a Fleet K'vort, but the design would have to be tweaked.

The K'Vort is basically a giant B'Rel.
But honestly, I don't think the KDF playerbase will complain. It's something that has actually been asked for as far back as just after STO went live. Hell, I was one of those guys asking for it back then.
An alternate, non-canon skin for a future K'Vort like BOP would be nice for the same ship, just as we have for the Vor'Cha and Negh'Vars.
I do agree. I have a Tac KDF that is crying out for a ship of this nature.

In the TV series the K'vort class is a enlarged B'rel classified as a Battle Cruiser in TNG.
But i would luv to see the K'vort come out on the C-store with different unique variant skins to make itself different than the B'rel.
As for escorts like ships, The Raptors are the Escorts of the KDF. The reason the Raptors are so broke and nerfed is because Cryptic did not further devolope them at all, same as the BoP classes.
what needs to be to make Raptors competitive is release more Fleet versions with 5 TAC consoles and a few on the C-store with some with 5 Fore Weapons... after all the Raptors suppose to be the best offensive KDF class as Escorts is to the Feds.
Also Raptors needs buff starting with fixing the broken basic cloaking mechanics, adding buff to the Shield Mod. so it can take more punishment due to it slightly inferior turn rate compare to it's Escorts counterparts.

The raptor isn't the carebear ship the cruiser is, so those without skillz get pwnd in them. I can already hear the crys of the giant BOP drivers getting their butt's handed to them because it turns like a truck. Instead of wasting what little dev time the KDF gets on a TNG effects guy's mistake, lets demand something we can really use, a fleet Pach and a fleet Tactical Kamarag or non 1k vet Peghqu' or fleet/c-store Krenn.

Actually it wasn't. The B'rel (in the sense that the class was named) only appeared in the episode "Rascals" where it was reused footage from "Yesterday's Enterprise". So actually the two ships are identical in size and look.
That the B'rel is the smaller ship is actually a retcon that first appeared in the "Encyclopedia" and has since been carried on by other sources.
However in the shows they were actually the same. The only canon hint we have about their difference is that the Ferengi talk like the ships were outdated so perhaps the B'rel is actually an older version of the design.

In Star Trek canon in these type of ships were refer mostly just BoP's by the main characters.
As u said the ''smaller'' B'rel were recon/raiders appeared in the ''Encyclopedia'', but there are also other different offical named versions with is the D-12 class from ST ''Generations'' which is used by the Duras sisters and describe by worf outdated, and other being the K'vort class which is shown and mention as a cruiser almost as large as the Vorcha in many TNG Worf's Klingon based episodes and ''Yesterday's Enterpirse''.
In Star Trek shows, Footage and Models is no doubt being used and reused as a cost effective way to produce them. just because in ''Rascal's'' was called a B'rel and in ''Yesterday Enterprise'' called K'vort does not mean it's the same ship just becuase the producers just want to go a cost effective way to display.
Would u called the ST: Enterprise Klingon Battlecruiser (which looks exactly the same as the K't'inga) from the episode ''Unexpected'' as a D7's or K't'inga classes even though they did not existed in the 22nd Century. or how about different Alien Ship models reused over and over again on species that is not even have contacted or even related with each other?
the fact is the B'rel, D12 and K'vort canon describe as being different, even though it been shown to be like the same on screen... it's no different when the early DS9 Mirror Universe episodes with Alliance ships have cloaking devices, then later they shown at the last DS9 mirrior universe episode with the Ferengi in, that the Alliance all of the sudden have no cloaking devices is the reason they kidnad the grand nagus for quark and rom to bring a cloaking device.

I mentioned what was in the shows, which was precisely the same footage as used for the K'vort. Why the heck are you going on such a rant now?
Then why are u ranting about the same footage then, TOS, TNG and DS9 series reused scenes all the time... that's nothing new.
In my other post i'm basically putting it that the B'rel and K'vort are not the same class despite having same design, but the difference is in the size and roles they fill.
Canonicly the B'rel have the size of 110 m, While the K'vort is more Vague with the DS9TM says it's as long as 685 m

First off.. Raptor is inferior to fed scorts.. thats a fact. Second.. cruisers arent carebear ships.. the Torkaht is the best KDF ship in the roster. Third- you can have plenty of skill and still pop in an inferior ship. Point four- the K'Vort is not a " TNG effects guy's mistake" it is a legitimate Klingon ship, look it up if you don't want to take my word for it. AND finally- the devs have plenty of time... <see the new fed ship coming out already regardless of Season 8 work> to make ships.. they just don't make Klingon ships.
I want the K'Vort.... I've wanted it since before the game went live.. it's been my fav. ship since I was a kid and I fly it in every ST game I play ..except of course for this one. All I'm asking for is a nice mebbe 5 fore ship like the feds just got only with mebbe 2 aft weapons and only four tac consoles with a fleet option and a Battle Cloak. Although all the things you suggested would be nice as well, in addition.

Yeah, that's right.
I like that idea. The K'Vort should be one of the biggest BOPs, either same size or larger than the Hegh'ta/Haj. And as such, with a larger size and larger crew, it should have a slower turn rate, one more comparable to a raptor escort.

No need for me to add to this gem from Memory beta concerning the K'vort:
A disposable light cruiser is what a K'Vort is, your imagining it to be an invincible escort isn't going to make it magically jump to the top of the devs 'to-do list', and neither are all the posts requesting it.

The B'rel has only been referred to by name on-screen one time in all of Star Trek.
And that happened to be a re-use of the K'vort footage.
Thus the B'rel is firmly established as a retired ship class being the same size of the K'vort.

I dont why you are hatin' so hard on the K'Vort, man, what did it ever do to you? Ofc the K'Vort isn't going to be invincible, it's a KDF ship.. they can never be as good as anything else the feds or rommies might have. BUT What's wrong with having another Klingon ship,one of the most shown klingon ships in all Trek in this game? Every other ST game has a K'Vort or other named variant in them.. why not this one?

There's just something VERY wrong with a BOP that's almost 3 times larger than a K'Tinga. And sorry to disappoint you but every ST game does NOT have a K'Vort (D15) in it as the ship is a new creation ala TNG (yesterdays Enterprise IIRC), and I haven't played many post TNG based games so I've never heard of this ship till SFC3 and later.
