Species Respec for 2000 Zen

I have 27 toons and with so many it seems to me a species respec for 2,000 zen is a small price to pay. You keep the gear you spent time and effort but you could move from Fed to Rom and change out ships etc.

Cryptic it's money, money for you from me.:cool:

    They've said that their tech won't allow it and I believe them. I just don't see this ever happening, at any price

    I've never heard their TECH won't allow it, just that it is a complicated thing to implement.

    In other words: Don't count on it.
    It is clear from that post that the current tech will not allow this to happen. They would need to rewrite all the character code to make that happen.

    If Blizzard can do it for WOW, then I cant see why cryptic cant do it for this game, yes its not going to be easy, but its a valuable resource in WOW and comes in handy, yes you pay for it but you would with cryptics version, TBH simple buisness sense says that if enough people want a product then, aslong as its not unfeasably expensive or difficult to produce, you make it, theyhave done it for other things in the past, I cant see why this cant be put on the project list aswell.

    This isn't the way you want to start a sentence or paragraph using any semblance of logic or reason. The simple truth is that WoW makes more money in 1 month then STO makes all year - probably several times more. You're talking about a game that has over 8 million subscribers there. Yes, WoW can do it because they have HUNDREDS of Devs. Cryptic's STO team is somewhere between 40 and 50, and every Dev working on a major redesign of the system for Race Respec is a Dev not working on something else. And STO desperately needs those something else's to keep players involved far more then it needs Race Respecs.
    STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

    I think Cryptic should revisit this species/faction respec. It's a money maker.
