Does Warp Core Efficiency have a diminishing return?
I have an atrox with Engines and Auxiliary on 15 power and I maximize and depend on WCE to get them higher. I have done calculation of mine own based on the wiki to determine what htat would be ahead of time but I'm having huge problems as my power levels aren't coming out anywhere what I thought and I can't seem to figure out the discrepencies.
Calculation for Warp Core Efficiency(WCE) from the wiki:
http://sto.gamepedia.com/Skill:_Starship_Warp_Core_Efficiency
(WCE/300) * (75 - Current Power setting)
I have for instance:
Aux: Base Power level 15
Atrox: +10
WCP: 109 = 109 / 20 = +5.45
WCE: = 181.9 = (181.9/300) * (75-15) = + 36.38
TRIBBLE. borg Deflector: +5
Romulan Singularity Console: +1.8
Elite Reinforced Warp Core: +7.5
Auxiliary performance: 84 = 84 / 10 = +8.4
15+10+5.45+36.38+5+1.8+7.5+8.4 = 89.53
Current Auxiliary power level with 15 base setting: 72
Eng: Base Power Level 15
Borg Engines: +5
WCP +5.45
Eng Perf: 17.5 = 17.5 /10 = 1.75
Rom Cons: +1.8
WCE: +36.38
15+5+5.45+1.75+1.8+36.38 = 65.38
Current Engine power level with 15 base setting: 49
There are no damages on my ship!
I have 72 Auxiliary and 49 engines currently. This does not square up. Any idea where the discrepency is? My sheilds are also down by about 8 points and I have to take out of my weapons to keep them at 130 for full bonuses. But I also don't know where the Shield loss is comeing from since it's power level is above 75.
If this is a diminishing return it's is a darned high diminishing return. And I'm literlly getting like 10-25% of the calculated ammount...
And the calculation on wiki makes perfect sense. If there is no diminishing return then at WCE 300, presumed max, you get exactly 75 power level with no bonuses besides WCE! So how can there be a diminising return!?
Is it counting some or all of my + power setting value along with the Base bar set at 15 before calculating my value?! If so is this not an error?! And if so which ones?!
And that doesn't make much sense becuase:
Engines:
Everything but WCE: 29 power level
(Including the Base 15 Power setting!!)
Example: (181.9/300) = 0.60633333 * (75 - 29) = +27.89
27.89 + 29 = 56.89
That is the lowest possible value I can get from my level of WCE. The worst case scenario with no diminishing return or errors on WCE!
That means it gave me, baically, exactly 20 points in power above the known raw additives besides WCE. So how can 181.9 WCE give only 20 points when it should give 36.38. And no calcualtion, I can run, lets it give a number as low as 20 with the given numbers and no diminishing return or errors.
And, again, I Do not have enough additives to add into my WCE formula to make it give that little! (181.9/300) * (75 -
42) = 20. I do not have
42 power added into engines to only get 20! I need a total of 42 engine power for it to even give me only 20 to start! So how can that be possible!
The higher your base the lower your WCE score. all other considerations alone cannot account for my power level being this low! So there is something massively wrong with the power settings in game. And they are not different on any screen where I am in my ship. They are consistant throughout. It makes no sense!
I've also gutted my atrox and got a new one. It made no difference except lowering my problem with my shield power by another point. Which is even weirder!
What is causing this?! Why is or why would there be a diminishing return on WCE?

not your calculations (you may wish to put the numbers in yourself) the sheet is findable on the forums - http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=532731
The sheet has the efficiency divisor as 533.33 rather than the 300 you sourced from the wiki (the wiki is likely out of date here - it is in many places)
this accounts for most of your discrepancy
(also you're only getting 6 from the warp core on aux)
so no I don't see diminishing returns on efficiency (it's just nowhere near as effective as the wiki suggests)
And Is there a thing for Nukara bonus for Shield performance in that. I don't see it.
Warp cores provide an efficiency bonus, not a flat one, meaning it scales with your power setting. It does indicate that in the description, if you're good enough at reading between the lines.
Won't magically happen itself.
pwebranflakes: this system is currently in place and working the way it should.
