I love STO. I like the designers and the story. Graphics are awesome. but for about 7 months now I have tryed to find out why my bridge during a away mission seem to shuffle and scoot on the ground. making a annoying shuffle sliding sound when I would go into aim. Sure they ran okay. And shoot. But soon as I switched to aim or even walk. They would shuffle across the ground.
After so any months of sending in reports. and a couple post. I am done. To me the game is broken when the designer don't care about the details even as simple as animation.
For immersion is hard to enjoy on nimbus when you your moving up on aim and you hear shuffle shuffle shuffle behind you. So I been playing less and less. And now am done.
Was great fun. maybe it will be addressed maybe not. maybe it really doesn't matter to anyone but me. But still. I am a player. And I did enjoy going on my away mission.

Thanks for all the fishes.
Seems like kind of a minor thing to leave a game for.
It's not myfault ifyoufeel trolledbymyDisco ball...Sorry'boutit.
Out of respect for my partner, I usually tend to keep the speakers OFF. Yeah, this might for some be a bit boring but, it's about respect for others. Just my 2-cents.
That's quite the paradox, how could you nerf nerf when the nerf is nerfed. But how would the nerf be nerfed when the nerf is nerfed? This allows the nerf not to be nerfed since the nerf is nerfed? But if the nerf isn't nerfed, it could still nerf nerfs. But as soon as the nerf is nerfed, the nerf power is lost. So paradoxally it the nerf nerf lost its nerf, while it's still nerfed, which cannot be because the nerf was unable to nerf.
I think you are the first person to ever report or even mention such a thing. That would suggest it is an issue unique to you, and therefore, something odd about your install or setup.
What the OP seems to be referring to is that the bridge officers aren't really able to move effectively at anything slower than the default "jogging" speed. If you go into Aim mode or use the Walk toggle, boffs and pets will sort of do this goofy stumble/shuffle. I, too, would like to see that change.
But it does seem like an incredibly goofy reason to quit.
...talking to players is like being a mall Santa. Everyone immediately wants to tell you all of the things they want, and you are absolutely powerless to deliver 99% of them.

well it bugs me, I like to walk in some mission just for the realism thingy and the BO sound like a group of basketball players dribbling the balls fast it's annoying BUT not somthing to quit game over

Seriously, game mechanics make your carrier pets, and Boffs only slightly dumber than suicidal lemmings. Not worth quitting a game over.
Wow... that's a pretty lame reason to quit, especially when most people have stated that they don't even notice anything like that.

EDIT: I'll make sure to pass along your feedback, but as "I quit" threads are not allowed because they always turn into flame threads where the poster gets trolled, I unfortunately have to close this one done. Remember, now that the game is free-to-play, feel free to stop back anytime. We hope to see you again soon! ~BranFlakes

R.I.P. Leonard Nimoy
Well he clearly dosen't know how hard it is to animate realistic movement.
i would try and update all your drivers and reinstall the game.
or can quit but sounds more like a client side issue rather then a game issue
NW-DHNVMMGVJ Dragons horde part one.

Seriously, try to reinstall the game.I am not having those issues, could be a bad download.
I knew ^^ was coming .
At the OP; it's just sound; who cares... It's a game. Relax a bit and put the sound volume down.
I call it, the Stoutes paradox.
But it does seem like an incredibly goofy reason to quit.
yeah... I said stupidly petty...
here...have a disco ball as a parting gift.
