Windows 8 - Bouncy chatbox

Hey there, I just set up STO on my new laptop, However...
On my tower, (Windows 7 64bit) I have the chatbox in it's default position, in the bottom left.
However, on my laptop (Windows 8, 64bit) If i put the bog vaguely close to any of the corners, it starts shaking violently, and is quite distracting...
As it seems, my only options are to hide it (Then i can't chat lol) or Move it closer to the center of the screen, which obscures my view.
Is there anyway to stop this, so i can use it in it's default position?
