Tactical Escort Retrofit Needs to Be Updated (in line with the new rom birds)

Compaer the Sau Paolo is 1500 zen and the Tactial Escort Retrofit is 2000 zen
Compared to the new Romulan Tactical Birds both 1500 zen and 2000 zen.
Rommy get a twin console set piece and battle cloaking, universal boff slots, similar base stats (+ since they are roms singularity powers).
Simply the Federation versions are not worth it and were created way before set bonus consoles became a standard on new zen ships. These ships are NOT balanced, and are a RIP OFF if your spending Zen on Federation Tactical. This honestly needs to be updated. PLEASE!!!

* Battle Cloaking (Tactical Escort Retrofit)
* Set Bonus for Phaser Quad cannon and Cloaking Device.
* Sao Paulo Quad Cannons becoming a console (like the rommy one)
* Maybe an additional bonus on the cloaking device console.

Good luck. Very unlikely chance of it happening.
But that aside, I believe the Tactical Escort is still a perfectly functional escort, and really doesn't need to be upgraded.

If you honestly believe that, you're not building your FED/KDF ships properly. They can easily blow Romulans out of the water... and they don't need the fancy "Battle Cloak" or "2-Piece Quad-Cannon/Cloak Set" to do it.

Just becuase not all rom players are expert pvpers doesnt mean they have advantages up the wahzoo

the gap between rom ships and fed ships by now is substantial...sure not everybody dies to a romulan and taking them down is just as easy/hard as any other ship, there is allways something left as "the human factor"
but, wouldn't you get your hands on a fed ship with integrated battle cloak and 5 extra abilities at your disposal?
+ 5 x 2% crtH and extras as your boffs?
those are substantial benefits shifted towards "the new guys"
imagine romulans were introduced as the new real 3rd faction :eek:
2) Its not worth the zen
How is it one set of ship is far superior, which you all just admitted, but shrugged off as "acceptable", when real money is being used to purchase them... how is it fair to pay real money for second-rate ships when the new rommy ones are far superior quality for the same price.
How is this also fair on some new player that comes to the game and chooses Feds over Roms and pays 15000, 2000 or 3500 for the Defiant variations.
Its also "THE DEFIANT" its iconic ship and its pretty much last to every escort that was put into the game after it... (which is nearly all of them)
It NEEDS updating.
