I've tried using Trillian and Pidgin, and if I send a direct message to someone, they can't reply to me. They get told I'm offline. Is this intended?

    Are you right-clicking the user and selecting IM? That won't work in Pidgin at least (don't ask me why). Use the menu - Conversation/New Instant Message... and manually enter handle@crypticspace.com. That will open a working IM window.
