    Brandon has made an appearance in this thread - he made a San Fran doom comment. Taco has made a few comments - but I suspect he is very busy right now.

    I think the appeal of the thread is that every day without fail a new negative thread complaining about something - bashing Cryptic or the game in some way - yadda yadda yadda - makes an appearance.

    This thread is almost like a living testament to the fact that the game is NOT doomed and lives on. The players and the posters for the most part carry on despite the negativity on the forums - I can't think of any reason why this should not be here.

    It's also one of the few threads passed the 500 comment mark that is not filled with flaming/bashing/trolling - etc etc etc.

    At least that's how I view it.

    I 'represent' that remark...

    Therefore I want it known here and now, that with my six or seven posts in this thread...

    Trolling has been exemplified with a passion..., that DOOM Itself would be proud of.

    I'm going back under my bridge now, any further slander toward this subject will be dealt with... deliciously.

    Classified recording obtained regarding rescue by Commander Lancelot of Commander Galahad, both assigned to U.S.S. Camelot, from Orion Syndicate facility codified 'Castle Anthrax' where Cmdr. Galahad was being held prisoner by an estimated one hundred-fifty Orion animal women.

    L: "We were in the nick of time. You were in great doom."

    G: "I don't think I was."

    L: "Yes, you were. You were in terrible doom."

    G: "Look, let me go back in there and face the doom."

    L: "No, it's too much doom."

    G: "It's my duty as a Starfleet officer to sample as much doom as I can."

    L: "No, we've got to find the Dyson Sphere."

    G: "Let me have just a bit of doom."

    L: "No, it's unhealthy."

    At this point, Commander Galahad makes remarks unbecoming a Starfleet officer regarding Commander Lancelot's personal habits and the recording ends.
    "If you can't take a little bloody nose, maybe you ought to go back home and crawl under your bed. It's not safe out here. It's wondrous, with treasures to satiate desires both subtle and gross; but it's not for the timid." -- Q, TNG: "Q-Who?"
    ^Words that every player should keep in mind, especially whenever there's a problem with the game...

    To paraphrase Picard;

    "If we're going to be doomed, let's be doomed for who we really are."

    Wait, wait, wait;

    Which Mecha-Godzilla? The classic sleek and smooth one from the 70's and 80's or the newer one with all the panels and whatnot including that opening chestplate with the laser cannon or whatever behind it?

    Or get the basic Mecha-G and then have to buy the 'upgraded' Mecha-G from the C-Store, but it also unlocks the new Mecha-G costume on the basic Mecha-G and gives you the "Console - Universal - Mecha-Godzilla Chest Cannon" that can be equipped on either Mecha-G...

    :D there were THREE in the movies.

    the 60s version had a cool forcefield trick
    the 80s version featured a jet pack to give it enhanced flight capabilities and more missiles.
    then there's Kiryu who had that cool freeze cannon and a nasty melee ability

    then there's the one from the animated series it can hide by digging underground

    hehehe..... I may or may not be a Kaiju nerd.... :P

    Don't forget the Fleet Mecha-G. It comes with the active "Rogue" trait which grants your Mecha-G an 8.73% chance of "losing it's mind" and proceeds to stomp everything including friendly forces.

    And the "Mecha-G Retrofit" which looks just like the standard Mecha-G, but with increased turn rate and an additional forward weapons slot.

    That was Kiryu's gimmick. :D Maybe call it "Ghost Circuits"? It gives enhanced accuracy and crit chance, but at the cost of sometimes going into berserk mode. :D

    Would that not include your response also?

    After all, posting that thought in a thread that you consider has nothing but these attributes, seems a bit hypocritical on your part.

    Besides, I only see 24 pages of DOOM...

    You mean all our signs and portents of doom are hypo-critical, not hyper-critical? We've failed, then. We are indeed doomed. Where's a sinkhole when you need one?
