Molecular Phase Inversion Field "No Collision"

Been playing with the Retrofit D'Dex... not that I have much need to use the phase ability but figured I'd give it a try.

I note the console description for Phase Inversion Field says "No Collision" and have tested this ability. I can fly right through objects and NPCs while phased... kinda fun to fly though a Cube.

HOWEVER

The Inversion Field will not get me out of a Tholian Web. I run right into the walls like always.

I believe this is bugged. To me "No Collision" means just that. I should not collide with ANYTHING while phased.

    Correct.


    Science geek mode: You can colide with something else out of phase that is on the same phase as you are.


    Science geek mode 2: The web is transdimensional, spreading through multiple phase variances.

    Considering what this console does I think it is a bit op. I'm not sure if they should have given this to ships with a battle cloak. +100,000% defense bonus.

    It does have a 10 min cool down, making it just a once-a-mission get-me-out-of-trouble rabbit in the hat.

    Will just about survive donatra's thalaron blast. Just.

    Umm, no, it has a 3min CD. I was using it on my T'Varo and it worked great as a get out of line of fire button. Hit it>>Cloak = gone without much dmg.

    Really? When was that changed? As when LoR came out it had a 10 cool down, as i was a little disappointed with it.

    It's not any more OP than the APO/EptE/Aux2Damp with 2 min CD Impulse Cell combo that escorts and BoPs very regularly use to basically "quit" any PvP fight or throw their defense rating high enough to be invincible.
