Contributing doffs into starbase projects is so frustrating, boring and SLOW. 3 little changes will improve this side of the game forever:
1. Put a slider when buying doffs in the starbases: in this way i can choose with 1 click the prefer amount of doffs according to my fleet credits
For people who have just barely started with the DuOff's, this is probably the worst part of this idea. Since they wont really be able to choose from the officers they have most of, as such as system would have to choose at random.
2. Make an "Open All" button in "Requested Duty Officers" tab
I am not sure what this part means.
3. Put a slider or a "Select All" button when i click "Contribute" doffs in any starbase projects for the reasons mentioned above in point 1.
Guess this leads me back to answer #1 as well
Please, think about it DEVS!!!
And you, what do you think?
I fully understand where you try to go with this idea, but I am affraid it would not work, for the reason mentioned above.
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
Why not just simplify the whole process and allow you to substitute 450 FC for a given DOff at the contribution level (with slider.)
"Participation in PVP-related activities is so low on an hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly basis that we could in fact just completely take it out of STO and it would not impact the overall number of people [who] log in to the game and play in any significant way." -Gozer, Cryptic PvP Dev
Not sure about the above. But I would like to see the Doff's sorted by type. That way I could easily see how many of each type I had left and which ones of each type I want to get rid of.
You can open the packs in "request duty officers" tab, instead of out of inventory.
Everywhere I look, people are screaming about how bad Cryptic is.
What's my position?
That people should know what they're screaming about!

i understand the problem anazonda, but usually this operation, in the starbase, is made to contribute doffs in the projects, so a player knows what type of doff to buy etc ect...
point 2.
when i buy a doff pack, i can open all of them clicking on doff button and, in "request duty officer" tab, there is the "open" button
with the "open" button, would be great to have an "open all" button too
point 3.
the "select all" button can be added near the "OK" one, maybe with a check on bound doffs/whatever and a division by type... in order to make the process faster than now
The argument that new players who start out with the DOFF system need detailed selection capabilities, as it is now, when contributing DOFFs to the starfleet projects need not be eroded by a simple "select all" addition. In fact is not only frustrating when having about 900 DOFFs to contribute, while one can only select six a page, but it is actually also insulting the intelligence of the player base, because it is pretty clear that the urgently needed "Select All" function is quite possible in the contribution dialog.
Basically I cannot see any reason for forcing all players into a one hour battle against the mouse and the own wrist while the loop needed behind the "select all" can very probably be written within 15 minutes. Add the overhead for planning and QA, so the required time might sum up to 2 hours, and the risks for the statistically involved "new bug" in this expansion are pretty low.
I am sorry for my harsh judgement, but at the moment this DOFF contribution dialog is as helpful as TRIBBLE.
Now I'm going to torture my wrist again for Q know how long ...

So true.
And when the fix this they should fix buying items, you should be able to buy anything in at least hundreds (civilian doffs, torpedoes, power cells etc...). Buying things one at a time, to contribute them one at a time, particularly when you need them in hundreds or even thousands is beyond stupid.
P.S. I have not left, I am just having a break till fleet holdings are more fun to do.
Can we also grind Blue/green/purple doffs to a level below to be made easier. Instead of doing it one by which is painstakingly slow, we should have a slider system where we can do this.
Perhaps also have an option on Starbase contributions where we can also donate green and blue to White Doff projects, i dont know about you but I have a boat load of blue and green doffs that are sitting in my mail
Now found frequenting MWO short term and then Star Citizen long term. Raged Quit PVP long ago

The only disagreement against this so far is that new players with very few doffs, would make it harder.
First off. New players with so few doffs that this hurts would actually be collecting doffs, exchanging or selling or upgrading them. Not putting them into the starbase.
Secondly, IF for some reason they are, then it is 1 or 2 white doffs they think they have too many of. Whereas the actual problem is the 1000's needed.
The sheer difference in scale between the players makes it totally irrelevant.

I like this idea, and not just sorted according to "Tactical," "Security," "Engineering," "Operations," etc, but also further into "Projectile Weapons Officer," "Assault Squad Officer," "Photonic Studies Specialist," etc.
Also useful would be a means of searching for a specific DOff by name, if you know which ones you want to get rid of. I generally try to get Nausicaans and Letheans off my ships as quickly as possible (I just find them aesthetically disturbing), so if I have a fleet project that calls for, say, 15 Operations DOffs, I open my DOff window and look at the Ops personnel to sort out which ones I don't want to have to look at anymore.
