Whats up with all the supposed good pvpers loggin off when there about to die. I do understand that you dont have the skills to stay in the fight and come up with a way of winning. but loggin off is not going to help you accomplish this. If you cant handle it maybe you can switch to an easy game like angry birds or candi crush. I dont know if you can log off in those if your in trouble tho.

Would people kindly avoid generalizing stupid behaviour to every PvPer? Seriously, nearly each time someone makes a post on bad behaviour, they think everyone does it. Quit insulting those who actually have a sense of fair play, thank you.
That said, as of a few weeks ago, I have been having more connection troubles in game than normal. A certain amount of lag in the game is always expected, but rubberbanding to the point that you go from full health to 5 seconds on respawn times is just nuts.
I would certainly give benefit of the doubt, but if you want to log under that console, it's better just to say why you're leaving and then warp out. No need to bother logging.
Got logged out 15 times in an hour last night maybe the debs could comment if there's a fix bin the pipeline
I thought it was maybe my connection but you can see people disappearing mid fight a lot

and this attitude is why some people log off when near dead.
also, when 5 vs 1 happens, logging off isnt a crime either, 5 vs 1 clearly states that those 5 people need to play what you say? candy crush and such, because they can only when with spam,new console cheese, and spamming known broken abbility's ( theta/ewp not rendering for example) and, yes i would log offf any time when someone thinks he can pull that trick off on me.you dont like it, go play candy crush youreself, so you dont encounter people who log off when they get cheesed.
and yes, the game is unstable lately, a lot of no responding errors and critical errors ( those where it kicks you back to youre main desktop screen,without any notification of what the hell happend) and still not a solution in sight.....
Well, could be - but I do wonder if there is some bug that only happens when there is a lot of incoming fire and your ship has low HP - would be quite the surprise, eh:rolleyes:?
I can say this, though - the more objects on my screen, the greater the chance that I start rubberbanding. Which means that it tends to happen more as I approach the battle - but then again I say so in zone chat whenever I log off due to rubberbands.
And they come down with the flu only on days when there is a test or it's a Friday!

I'm sure if it wasn't for the no Name/shaming policy of the forums (Which does make the forums a slightly nicer play :P) there probably would be more of a willingness to say "Why does <fleet names here> [or] <persons names here> feel the need to log out so much?!"
But.. these are the STO forums, and its not allowed.. so... it becomes Generalized into "You all" which gets mixed up with some times wanting to say who it is.. but can't..
Either that or the person just really thinks that we're all a bunch of players who have to log out of a match.. Either way. *shrug*

Understandable - but we could at least say "Some people" or "Certain players". I mean, here some of us gimp ourselves and try to play in a fair and considerate manner, and then people come and accuse the entire community of stuff like this? Quite the berserk button for me.

Sorry if this comes off as generalizing every pvper logs off when in trouble. Thats not what i ment and i dont think thats what my op says. Some pvpers state that there great pvp players but when they have to fight someone that is better than them (not even useing cheese) then they log off before they die and then come back. I am a pvper and i dont log not even when cheese is used. You can tell when someone has internet issues and get dissconnected and come back.

+1 for truth..in fact it seems to be the standard pvp/kerrat response to that, denying the spammer the absurdly easy kill they bought the console for, meaning they wasted the attack for no return

Since Legacy of Romulus was released i cant stay ingame very long now, the higher my settings the sooner i get disconnected from the game. I was hoping Cryptic would resolve the problem but so far not a peep out of them.
It doesn't happen often while i'm in an instance, but it does happen at times. I'm sure i'm not the only one.

Many others are like this too.
However, there are some who do the relog trick to avoid being killed then get a better position on you.
If I do leave, I do it on respawn and warp out.
Which is why I said "nearly". :P
pulling your network cable out will indeed give connectin issues.
fyi i don't use any of the op\cheese consoles and often these are targets that i pick that are not being overwhelmed by many players.
i have no idea why some feel this is a good thing to do... in my thinking they are prolly kids who don't know any better, but idk. as to the serious pvp'ers doing this, i have not witnessed it yet personally and would give them the benefit of the doubt 1st as dc's have become the norm lately.
