With a new character, and with the abundance of Risa Summer event outfits, combined with a sale on Outfit Slots, I went ahead and bought at least three sets of slots (six outfits), possibly four (Im not quite sure) mainly for my Romulan character (Rina) since she has need of a lot of outfits (Dress uniform, Republic uniform, Tal Shiar, Casual, Risa... etc), and also for the others chars since the slots are added to all chars on an account.
While I havnt found any invalid outfits on the other chars, Rina now has FIVE outfits that are invalid, which cant be worn. None of these outfits are anytihng special, and all use valid parts which I own. Its very annoying to have spent zen on these slots to find I cant use them.
The outfits all worked fine at first, and she was able to wear them all, then suddenly one day, TWO of them were suddenly invalid. They worked fine one day, and not the next, and there was no maintenance or anything like that in between.
Around the same time (just a day or so later) she joined a fleet and THREE more outfits became invalid. She has a total of FIVE invalid outfits now, all of which worked just days before.
They include standard outfits such as
1) Her original Romulan Survivor vest and skirt that I created her with
2) Risa Beachcomber with flower accents, which she wore at Risa for days
3) Standard Tal Shiar uniform that she wore doing Tal Shiar infiltration missions
and also two others I cant specifically recall at the moment.
I own all the parts to these outfits. Some require the "Off-Duty" mode, which seems to be broken (it often doesnt show in the drop-down on the uniform page) but even setting it on the "head" page wont allow me to modify these outfits.
Loading a saved outfit rarely loads the outfit that was saved, and looks nothing like the picture, I have to modify parts to make them look like they were when they were saved.
I accept that we cant mix and match off-duty and on-duty outfits, and I havnt done that (the tailor wont let me anyway) but why cant I modify/save or wear these outfits that I wore previously?
Once thing for sure, I wont be buying any more outfits slots - sale or not. These Tailor bugs wont let me make use of them. I may as well have given my Zen back to Cryptic for free
Ive filed a bug report in-game, and apologies if this seems wordy, but I wanted to try give as much detail as possible in the hopes a dev might read it and realise how disillusioned one recent "Outfit Sale" customer is feeling.... Im sure Im not the only one with perfectly good, but "invalid" outfits, taking up slots.
The tailor needs some love... please in a future update show it some.

The good news is that because they are not owned, they do not count as one of your existing character slots either. What this means is that you can make a new costume and recreate the old costume, and the new one will work fine (unless/until it also gets detached). At that point your old costume is just a zombie.
Short-term, we need a button that lets us DELETE costumes. Mid-term, we need the costume slots to stop getting flagged by whatever is doing it.
Shut up and buy more Zen already!
Moral of the story? Do not expect any decent help from the powers that be.
The best we can hope for is a fix from a patch
Regardless, this is a Kludge - a work around - and it really needs to be fixed. Im one of those funny people who expects to get what they paid for. I paid for outfit slots, and expect to be able to use them. I dont see that as being unreasonable.
Sadly this gameplay bugs forum fills up so fast that only a few days later this post is already on page 3, and basically falls into oblivion, and bug reports in-game get no response.
