Favors per hunt, not adding up

I just realized I'm not getting as many favors as I should, based on the math. But maybe I miscalculated or misunderstand something about how they are given.
- You have to activate 10 statues in the world.
- Each statue gives a minimum of 2, a maximum of 5, and sometimes 3. (If you get an egg maybe you just get 1 favor, not sure, but not applicable here as I haven't seen an egg in days).
- Upon completion you get 25 bonus favors.
Based on that the MINIMUM you should get is 45 [(2 x 10) + 25 =45]
So how is it possible that I have 44 after completing a hunt?
Obviously its a minor thing, and I don't expect recompense, but I want to make sure I'm not going crazy!
