Hangar Pet UI Problems

I've got a problem with the carrier pet UI.

What's going on is that I've got the carrier commands hotkeyed to my power tray which is how I usually interact with them in my HECs. When I activate one, the corresponding icons on my ship weapons tray fail to update to show that I've activated that carrier command from my power tray (alt-1 to alt-4 for me). Moreover the ship weapon tray icons for the commands don't have the hotkey codes on them either so it acts like they aren't assigned.

Second, the Hangar Bay tray is doing the same thing. the command buttons don't have the key codes on them for my power trayand they don't light up when I activate a carrier command from my power tray. If I activate one from the ship weapons try it will light up the same button on the hangar bay tray and vise versa, but not if I do it from the power tray ("big personal tray"). This leads to problems where it feels like I'm issuing conflicting orders.

When I say conflicting orders I mean that sometimes the hangar pets seem to not want to respond to the carrier command I've got it active from my power tray if the hangar bay tray/ship weapons tray has something else selected. This leads to pets failing to recall when told if I were to have a carrier command active from the hangar/ship weapons tray and other fail-ness.

The main purpose of the new UI is aimed at full carriers with multiple hangar bays but this seems to cause issues for HECs (at least in the way I fly them. Other players may not have these issues).

How to fix this? Well...
1) The icons in the Ship Weapons try and the Hangar Bay tray update to reflect the command the other has active. This needs to extend to hotkeyed carrier commands in the Personal Tray if you're in an HEC. Less fiddling that way. And it should make all three sets play nice so you don't have to fiddle with the Ship Weapons or Hangar Bay trays to get your pets to do what you want should you click a different order on their UIs while you've got a command active from your personal tray.
2) The icons on the Ship weapons and Hangar Bay trays need to show what hotkeys they are assigned to. This is so you can hotkey your bays to your whims and not have to go jumping between them to change their orders with your mouse.
