Diplomatic Investigations pure B.S.?

I have picked up the Diplomatic Investigations from Jiro What's-his-name, several dozen times now, on multiple toons. I fly to what ever cluster he wants me at, best possible speed. So far I haven't gotten a single assignment, it has all been a huge waste of time.

Anyone else having this problem, or is Jiro just effing with me?

First I must ask... do you actually accept the mission form Jiro?

If you are, and it showing up in the mission window on the right, then I would say that when you get tot he sector for the Diplo Investigation, look at the bottom right hand corner of the screen. There should be a button to start the investigation.

Unfortunately it does not start automatically once you enter the exploration cluster.
