I am an collector of Trek and other sci-fi models and http://www.federationmodels.com/
has the most extensive collection of Trek model that there is. If you are wanting very high quality lighted trek models Bandai made a series of great kits. ebay is where you are going to find them currently. For the mother of all kits the Polar light 1/350 scale Enterprise refit can be purchased for about $90 and lighting kits run about $150. Trekmodler.com sells pro-built models for about $3000 but they look exactly like studio models. Right down to trees inside the arboretum to people and lighted shuttle craft inside the hangar. The model is almost 4 feet long and no one can match his detail. I own pretty much every Trek model ever made so post any questions you have here and I can tell you where to get them and what kits are the best.

Signed up yesterday at STLV. They're really nice quality. Mostly die cast metal, good colors/printing, nice, solid stands.

Overall, good quality. The saucer/neck is metal. The secondary hull & nacelles are plastic. The nacelles also have transparent plastic inserts that catch the light if you hold it up. The base is nice and big and metal and heavy. The clear plastic bracket that holds the ship up is pretty sturdy, and while it does impact the silhouette of the ship a bit, at least it has a good grip on it. Windows are painted black/white to indicate lit/unlit, the escape pod/phaser banks are raised slightly. There are some good, very small decals/lettering in places.

No, unfortunately. I asked them about this too and they mentioned that they are considering saucer separated versions (Galaxy, Prometheus, etc.) as potential "limited/special edition" issues, but could not confirm 100%.

WE ARE IN FOR A TREAT!

    This event occurred on WEDNESDAY:

I ran all the way to my Local Co-op down the lane, and frantically searched the magazine ... display-thingi-mo-bob but it was not there.

I asked the lady at the counter, and she paused for a moment and revealed the magazine.

She said it was supposed to be released on Thursday.

    I got it a day early!!!!! :D:cool::)

Anyway, gave it a read ... great magazine, and an excellent model.

    Took out a subscription.

(There goes my STO-Zen-Fund ... sorry ... it is a competitive market! ;))
Hopefully I'll come back from my break; this break is fun; I play intellectual games.

    I hope STO get's better ...

What's the quality of the model? I'm not going to pick them all up, but there are a fair few I would like to get, like the D'Deridex and Voyager.

If only that Gal-X was available without the subscription.
    *******************************************

A Romulan Strike Team, Missing Farmers and an ancient base on a Klingon Border world. But what connects them? Find out in my First Foundary mission: 'The Jeroan Farmer Escapade'

I will do my best to explain.

The models are about 14 to 16 cm long, the detail is very impressive, and the actual material is good too.

The magazine has a good quality paper, really good fun to read, incredibly informative too.

If you click this link, it shows all the future ships they are going to realse.

    Link

first issue is Enterprise D, models is a combination of diecast and plastic, very very good likeness i think.

Voyagers is confirmed as issue 6 and the new magazine comes out every two weeks. first issue ?1.99 2nd ?5.99 and ?9.99 there on wards
