Well, we do have two empresses. And wasn't the girl on the planet that was threatened by the comet a princess?

Personally, when I set out to attempt to insult someone else's intellect, I generally take care to spell my insults correctly.

The word you want is "dumb", spelled with a silent "b" at the end. "Dum" isn't even a word in English, although when you alter a bullet so as to cause the slug to expand drastically on hitting its target (often by carving an X into the nose of the slug), it's then called a "dumdum [or dum-dum] round".

I won't go into the whole emotional connection British subjects seem to feel to their royal family; my country worked hard to separate itself from the British Empire some 237 years ago, so the most I can work up is a mild interest in the firstborn of what appears to be a very nice couple.

    ....just to add some humor....

"No matter how silly the idea of having a queen might be to us, as Americans, we must be gracious and considerate hosts."

    ....please somebody get this joke.....

Just some more for the H of it:

"It's true what they say: Cops and women don't mix. It's like eating a spoonful of Drano; sure, it'll clean you out, but it'll leave you hollow inside."

"Frank: It's the same old story. Boy finds girl, boy loses girl, girl finds boy, boy forgets girl, boy remembers girl, girls dies in a tragic blimp accident over the Orange Bowl on New Year's Day.

    Jane: Goodyear?

    Frank: No, the worst. "

...geez I'm so off topic......another warning for me!!!!

Surprisingly, this wasn't on YouTube... after all: Protecting the Queen's safety is a task that is gladly accepted by Police Squad.

Really, though, I think jonsills wins the thread :P

Actually the Royals often serve in the military, even fighting on the frontlines.

Prince Harry (aka Captain Wales) flew Apache AH.1 attack helicopters in Afghanistan.

Don't presume to know how "British subjects" feel about the royal family. Personally I think having a head of state who is also the head of monarchy at the pinnacle of a class system epitomises everything which is wrong with this country.

I firmly believe in the separation of church and state, the sooner this country gets it - the better.

Even if they are just glorified tourist attractions.

Seeing as the previous President was the son of a President, and now his brother is being discussed as a potential candidate, is America really any different from monarchy? We seriously need laws stopping relatives of politicians from running to prevent dynasties.

Every time you leave the ground in a helicopter you are in very real danger of very real (and messy) death.

Weren't they just? I've never heard thunder that loud before - and the lightening was so far away when it started. Then when the rain came down, I couldn't help but go outside at 4.30am just to sit in it for a little while. It felt almost tropical, it was beautiful.

Could do with a bit more, been so muggy today!

Although I kinda couldn't give a monkeys about the royal baby I am British and i feel proud to have a well known royal family.

So please stop the hate i for one do not bash the fact many other countries lack the wonder of such a head of state as I feel having a president is nothing more than having a puppet who has no voice and is bound by the people and the principles of the people below him or her.
