Making the flight deck carriers on the KDF side something truly different from the full carriers would be helpful. The flight deck carriers are basically the equivalent of Federation cruisers with a hangar bay tacked on. They don't carry cannons, have only 7-8 turnrate, and are boffslotted for tanking/support. When it comes down to it, the Vo'quv or Kar'fi are better options to use in most situations.
The KDF could use a truly nimble flight-deck carrier, something equivalent to the JHEC, Armitage, or Vesta. All of these are considerably more maneuverable and useful (in my opinion) than even the Fleet Corsair.
I just did a thread today that shows what I'm thinking when I say "A scrappy little Orion raider with a Lt. Cmdr tactical slot and a hangar". It's no Armitage equivalent, but it is a cannon-able 4/3 Orion flight deck cruiser that flies like an Escort. It's more like... the Tac Vesta, except with Eng instead of Sci.
The Daciot at Commander is the closet the KDF has to an escort carrier of its own, not counting the JHEC.
.The Daciot turn rate is 9 btw.
I actually have my Fleet Corsair turning really well, I fleet combat engines with turn x2, thurster skill on full, ,2 blue RCS consoles. And if you get a Vesta's shields down its dead, it has 27,900 hull base.
For comparison the Fleet Corsair has 39,000 hull, with various improvements, I have an actual hull of 48,000, plus Enigeering team and hazard emitters. I know some people think that doesn't matter but when you are a tac with a couple of powers that can't be activated till your hull is low then being able to survive with low hull has value. I've been known to put off healing my hull when I fire off go down fighting, its risker, but fun.
I do support the feds getting another full carrier, the KDF getting a 5 fore weapon ship, and so on, the true is its enivitable because there is money in both so I see no point in worrying about it.
Plus its not the ships that make a faction unique its the players.
Sure...lacking in the Carrier department...that's why Feds have the Armitage and the Vesta. Yes lets make a carrier that is better armed and build than either of the KDF two hanger ships.
God forbid a faction have any uniqueness to it...
uniqueness of the KDF Lies with its battlecruisers, not carriers, still althrough i'd love to have an actual FED style carrier, i would prefer for the KDF to get some new ships(T5 ones), like 3 ship tac and sci for klingons and maybe a T5 negh'var like the assault cruiser refit for the FEDs

Actually, the primary unique trait of the KDF these days is birds of prey. Starfleet has only Federation Romulans with the T'varo, which lacks a few of the primary traits of Klingon Birds of Prey (most importantly, being built around Univeral BOff slots); the KDF has the Hegh'ta, the Hoh'sus, the B'rel, and the Norgh.

Yeah some uniqueness, those universal slots aren't worth all of the weaknesses the BoP's suffer these days...

Feds have a ton of unique stuff, why can't KDF keep something?
I think unique fed things are few and far between. The only thing worth of note I can think of are possibly better escorts.
But all that is irrelevant, I highly doubt Cryptic plans releases with an eye toward fairness and instead focuses on what it can sell. This is why I see the next ship to be a romulan full carrier. Why make the scimitar a full carrier when it can release a carrier flagship in a month and sell twice as many ships. That is also we won't see a fed full carrier until they need to patch a hole in their revenue. I would guess that is also why have not seen fleet versions of several ships that people want, such as the Guramba. A fleet guramba (for example) would negatively impact future sales as players would not feel that exited about new ships if they could get their favorite older vessels in a fleet version. For a second example lets look at how the existence of a fleet KAr'Fi would've affected sales of the jemmy dreadnought.

what i meant is, there isn't a single cruiser ingame, that matches the turn rate of the klingon battlecruisers, with the exception of the galor, but thats a lockbox ship anyway, this is most unique thing they have, meanwhile both romulan and federation cruisers are mostly whales.
also this kinda raises a point, why did cryptic made the bortas have such a horrible turn rate when high turnrate for cruisers is pretty much a KDF strength, the bortas should have 8 or 9 turn at least.

It seems quite alot of a KDF players here keep citing the Vesta as a Carrier.
It's a pretty awfull one, In PvP the Fighters launch far to slowly to be of any impact, and in PvE The Borg/Gorn Mines will blast them to pieces the second they launch of the pad.
If you think the Vesta is a Carrier, It really isn't. Not in the sense of the Gorn/Atrox carriers anyway. The only thing the hanger is useful for at the moment is Shield Repair Drones.

The Vesta has the same hangar capacity as the Heavy Escort Carrier.
So yeah in the sense that it has that same capacity as a ship called "carrier" calling the Vesta a "carrier" makes sense wouldn't you agree?

But the Fighters/Shuttles launch from the Heavy Escort Carrier within half a second of one another, Meaning that you have the entire squadron on hand quickly. There is a roughly 3-5 second delay between craft launching from the Vesta's hanger bay, meaning they are Often Obliterated instantly by other placers/Borg Npcs, before the next craft is even launched.

Kumari, Vesta, and Separation to name a few...and might as well mention shuttles since we are talking carriers.

That ship sailed long ago when Cryptic made the gorn sci vessels. And they are so beloved by the KDF player base at large too....

Too bad we can't have this. This is a true carrier.

And battle cloak, feds don't have that.
yeah, but romulans do, on literally everything, i was talking about something that only klingons have.
That site is incredible I absolutely love the picture they chose to go with this article.
