Ship customization broken?

I can't set colors anymore? (Patterns work, but it ignores my color choices.)

Is this a known bug?

    I noticed this also when I got one of the mirror warbirds for my Rom yesterday, then just double checked on my KDF today. I can confirm this is happening on at least those two.

    This is still broken on all my characters I've checked, KDF and Fed. Patterns show as faint grey, but I cannot set colors at all, and every time I enter the tailor/editor the colors display as black.

    Try hitting one of the default costume buttons on the left and then recreating you costume. Does this fix the jammed colors?

    if you have a shield that has a visual effect, that will cause your colors to appear not to change. disable visuals before you enter the ship editor and that will clear it up.

    Still bugged after July 11 patch.

    yer I noticed this after the last patch last Tuesday. Thought nothing of it. Just thought well thats annoying. But yer even my ships created like many moons ago now show grey patterns instead of coloured patterns. Probably no1 has noted it or thought nothing of it like me. So PWE/Crypitic don't know about bug. So maybe now with this thread they can see there is an issue with Ship Costumes.

    Same issue here. On both character's the ship color highlights always show up grey, despite the setting. I always turn off the shield visuals off so it's not that. I've tried toggling everything but it doesn't redraw any differently no matter what I do. I'd like to think this will be fixed someday, but a couple of my character's face and uniform color values have been conflated as one since I made them in Jan 2012, so I'm not holding my breath.

    I know I've seen this before, and don't know how I got around it. I think one was an Odyssey that would only do black as a color, not sure if this was as designed (Event ship, not C-store ship). The one I just noticed yesterday was dark blue-grey no matter what I set the color as, it was a reward ship from the time shift mission (enterprise C).

    Update on this bug - there is a workaround.

    Choosing one of the basic templates restored the ability to set the colors.

    I.e. I clicked on the basic T'Varo template to the left (the only option,) and I could set colors on my T'Varo again.

    Worked for me,,,,,,,,after 10 months of flying around in brown gray ships they are now pretty colours,,,,, lol
