Given that there is currently no bonus reward, nor an easy way of earning marks enmasse...

How on earth are we supposed to afford NINE HUNDRED marks, Three times!?! And that's not including the 1000 extra for the Beambank & Console!




I'm not sure i understand the logic here...



Omega XII Sets : 1000 marks. - Fair enough, these are really easy to earn, 10-11 STF's maximum per piece.

Romulan XII : 750 marks. - Also reasonable, as they take longer to earn than omega BUT you can earn large sums through the Epohh system, which takes time.


Now we get to Nukara : No way of earning huge amounts of marks at current, Requires the cycling of several dull missions to get even 200 in one day. So, What would make sense? Perhaps 600?

What i'm getting at is please, please, please can these prices be reduced to be more affordable, or can we have some kind of system where we chase baby Tholians around and tag them for marks?

    Do CE 60 marks and 80 during bonus. Easy to farm. CEE+ 1-2 Ground queue missions will generate marks very fast.

    hatch eggs on risa, should give some marks. tho the joke is, that epohhs gave better romulan marks...

    romulan marks were also awarded at the end of the rep system, with the final mission.

    romulan marks also had more ways of earning them.

    however cryptics take on it:
    escorts are the way to go, if you really want to go the beam - cruiser way, they wont make it easy on you. its a hard choice, and they toughen you up on the way of owning a beam boat, so that you can realize, it wont be as effective as a cannon boat. its a harsh world, and they aint gonna make it easy on ya

    Um, what does this have to do with Escorts?

    The OP is talking about the Nukara Engine/shield/Deflector set.

    Which IS expensive, but it's a Mk12 set.... what were you expecting?

    The solution seems pretty simple, just stop working a dedicate your life to grinding nukara marks. Pretty sure cryptic recommends this.

    Have to agree that the options to procure Nukara marks are very limited in comparison to the options available to procure Fleet, Omega and Romulan marks. If the pricing structure is going to be standardized across the Rep system, the opportunities to procure Nukara Marks should made as equally available as the other three types of Marks are; and ATM that's not the case.

    Do CE (and Azure, Vault, and Nukara). Its not so hard. I don't get on quite every day, so I'm only just hitting T4 today, but I've got like 1100+ marks right now.

    I realize people are afraid of doing Elite CE, and it is probably because they get themselves stuck in the "all tac, all the time" mentality. Bring 1 science ship with the correct powers or a couple people with 1 Tachyon beam and the group will complete it easy.

    we were expecting, some sense? you cant gather these as fast as romulan marks, and you wont get a bonus, so it shoulda been cheaper?

    @OP,

    Just curious why you are ********, you ground out enough marks to make it to tier 5..... on a rep system that has been out for not even 2 months.

    Eppoh tagging aside, you can gather Nukara slightly faster than Romulan marks because Crystalline gives so many.

    Nuke marks are now by far the easiest and fastest to earn. Just go to Nukara during the bonus hour and do the medium/easy missions. Piece of cake, 100 marks in 10-15 minutes.

    CCE is also quite easy with a decent team that knows how to debuff the recrystalize. That's good marks during the rep hours, too.

    CEE gives 60 marks...hardly a match for ISE which can be done in 6 min for 90 Omega marks.

    Nukara marks remain the most PITA to get.
