Duplicate BOFFS on the Character Selection Screen

OK, I know there's probably a million threads for this already, but having read through a lot of them, I'm still rather confused....

Clue is in the thread title; on the character selection screen, some of my toons have duplicate bridge officers around them (so instead of my full away team, I might have 4 of the same BOFF or two copies of the same 2 etc). This only occurs on the characters that were made before LoR came out.

What is the fix for this? :confused:

I've tried changing my away team (and changing them all to 'Security' and changing them back again). But nothing's happened.

I know it's such a small thing, but it really is my pet hate now. :eek:

    I have the same problem. It may be a little thing to some people, but for me its what is the most blaring problem in the game becuase you have to see it every time you log in. i was so looking forward to seeing all my captains with their away teams after playing on tribble, but just like the bridge officer bugs when you visit your bridge, i have a feeling the devs will put this on the backburner. but i wish they would get it fixed soon becuase it really is a downer to look at, especially when its on characters i have put years of work into and take great pride in my boffs.:mad:

    I think I have a similar problem... but sometimes my BOFFs get listed as ships.

    Then it will mess up my DOFF department head assignments... and even my bridge officer station assignments...

    Go to the tailor and rename the boffs costumes. Make sure each boff costume has a unique name. Having different boffs with the same costume name can cause this glitch.

    i would try this but i can't rename the unique Romulan boffs in the tailor.

    it throws out a "contains invalid parts" error.

    also i'm pretty sure my Klingon (who also has this error) and the two other captains who have it intermittently and not as badly (ie not all 4 are the same boff permanently stuck) already has differently named boff saves in the tailor.

    and its not a "glitch" its a bug...on the loading screen...which is like a huge no, no "oh noes all the other mmo devs will laugh at you" bug...and don't ask me what the 6 foot plus brown alien woman with giant rabbit ears that replaced all of my captains at one point last night was because i have never seen her before in my life and i get a sore head just thinking about it...

    it's a bug.

    the files on the hard disc MUST have different names.

    Since I cannot create a new thread yet, i will pose my question here as it is similar:

    When i select my Boff crew for the away team it does not allow me to select a security member as part of the away team. I used to be able to but now it only allows me to select Boff. Anyone have a fix on this or experienced this?

    This fixed my problems. It also fixed a problem where my ship was replaced by one of my ground officers, which was really annoying.

    How do you rename the costume's at the tailor.
