Well, I just pretend the annoying, whiny, obnoxious know it all doesn't exist ...

I made another one of my BoFF's my First Officer, and spent a not inconsiderable amount of Dil, Zen and EC to get a better compliment of BoFF's, so I rarely have to deal with the green blooded little weasel ... If you make all other BoFF's department heads and/or Bridge Crew / Away Team, you almost never hear from him any more ...

And let us be rid of the pathetic little twerp Cryptic, so he can go look for his sister or clean out sewers on New Romulus.

I think they were trying to create a 'Chakotay" character for us to love, but where as Chakotay was exceeding cool and a perfect XO to Janeway, Tovan is just ... annoying and irrelevant ...
Oh, hoho hohhhhh, Oh,, hoho, hohhhhh

One of the more dangerous/troublesome things to do in software development is change fundamental assumptions of systems that other features have been built on. In this case, all Romulan content was built with the fundamental assumption that all Romulan-faction players would have Tovan Khev. I won't say "never", but it is extremely unlikely that we will ever make him dismissable, and would be a non-trivial amount of work to do so and still make existing mission content work.

So that means just ignore poor tovan or use him as you choose but he's most likely never going away since all the romulan missions are based on the player having him.

That does not actually work. I have him out of any seat and no longer on away teams and has no position in the Duty officer positions. But every single place I go His face pops up above the name of one of my other bridge officers. It does not matter which officer either. He has butted in over the medical officer, tactical, and engineering fields. He is getting to be terribly broken.

Nor should they be. Their ships would look weird.

Yeah, now I feel like we're the 'dismiss Tovan' equivalent of those T5 Connie players. =(

Seriously devs, just give us the option of hiding him in our roster, give us the BOFF slot he's taking up, remove him from our bridges, and try to get him to stop making himself first officer. That's all you gotta do.

^ This ... If he is SOOOO important to the plot they've created for the Rommies, then just make him an essential NPC, like Worf ... He can happily tag along when need or put his annoying opinion in when the story requires it, but the rest of the time, we don't need or want him, and if not, then give all Romulan Toons an extra free BoFF slot ...

Not even close. One is because CBS won't give up the rights, the other is because the devs won't put in the effort revamping the Romulan storyline. And by storyline I really mean only Revelation and Cloak and Dagger, possibly Tradecraft and Turning Point. Less than the Fed revamp even.

Get this specimen off the bridge. He can stuff it in my roster for all eternity. But-get-him-off-my-bridge!

I was wondering when someone would finally realize this.
It is said the best weapon is one that is never fired. I disagree. The best weapon is one you only have to fire... once. B)
