Many of you have already noticed that the Risa map in the event is what Risa should be like all the time. Parts of it were shown in TNG and especially Star Trek Enterprise.
There are building. Dance parties, beach parties, special, erm, 'attendants'
a many many other areas to explore. Keeping it like this will make Star Trek Online even more enjoyable.
So if you want the devs to keep the regular boring Risa map like this, just post a 'yes' below and a comment saying what you liked about it.Let's keep Risa the way it should be!! Vote now!!

"Yes please. I quite like it here."
Sips his Risian mai tai and admires a pair of Orion females drifting by on floaters.
...Oh, baby, you know, I've really got to leave you / Oh, I can hear it callin 'me / I said don't you hear it callin' me the way it used to do?...

Only thing missing (unless i missed it) is a mail terminal so i can send off my vacation postcards
Don't litter.

Elite Defense Stovokor
the map is freakin sweet
Also, you apparently didn't read this Dev Post: http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showpost.php?p=11041451&postcount=104
Maybe my memory is foggy, but I honestly can't remember a time when the STO Devs did something solely because of player support.
And anyway, aren't "Petitions" like this in violation of some sort of forum guideline? Or am I thinking of a different forum?
I've been hoping they'd fix Risa since my first day in the game. Trash the old map and keep the event map!
I was just now doing the Dance party with several other players, as the sun was setting on Risa and fireworks were bursting in the air. In a word, awesome.
You (Cryptic) guys did a fantastic job on this event addition of Risa and I absolutely hope it sticks around.
However...
I hope you will reconsider both of these. I know this is intended to be a special event for summer, but leaving the stores open and certainly the floaters will give people reason to return to Risa and just have fun earning some simple things.
And I say Risa, being close to the Klingon border, with people that openly welcome all, is neutral to all galactic conflicts and continues to extend it's hospitality to all who seek it.
In other words, leave it as a playground for all characters.
In fact, would be nice if some of the missions could stay, like the daily race mission, but instead swap out the event reward with the standard fare of 480 dilithium ore.
"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them."

Seriously, well done!
