Targeting issues

I have noticed that since the LoR update, there have been an avalanche of targeting issues.

1. Use of abilities like tac/eng/sci team, Hazard emitters, and Aux to (X), will often switch your target to small friendly targets like HY torpedoes, romulan torpedoes, or fighters. this causes the power to be used on them, effectively wasting it.

2. If targets overlap from the players POV, clicking the closer target will not allow you to target it, instead, the farther target is selected. this makes it difficult to target spheres and nanite generators in borg STFs, because it will often target the gateway, not the intended target.

3. launching carrier pets will occasionally switch targets to the launched fighter/frigate.

please post any other targeting issues on this thread.

    I will add, targeting the Tholian web nodes is extremely buggy. You target them and sometimes you can't shoot at them.

    Looks like above bugs activates only using Romulan/Plasma Torps. Reported this in ingame bugs.

    #1 has a link to the romulan plasma torps, but I have also had it happen to fighter pets. This is an effect of the LoR updates which allowed projectiles and small craft (i.e. shuttles & fighters because of the new shuttle missions and STFs) to be more easily targeted and hit.

    Obviously that one backfired.

    #2 and 3 don't really have to do with the rommy torps

    did we rly expect it not to backfire?
    now everything but pets are hard to target, and you will target pets, even if you dont want to target anything


    EDIT: there is an option in the menu, to target or not to target pets. I will try that, tho I do not have hopes for it
