Also, Embassy doesn't let Klingons get Romulan Senate Robes. Known issue since at least February 14 patch.

Yeah we used to get cut and paste but we aren't even getting that now because they say they will lose money by someone cutting and pasting it.

Also the KHG and Jem Hadar Costumes for ground sets are also broken shows how much attention the KDF gets :(

It really should be cross-faction teaming for Defera, as it is Task Force Omega.

They aren't likely to give out a significant amount of fleetmarks for non-teamed pve.

To help on Defera, try the channel KDFdefera, I set it up after the event became nonscheduled, and other PvE requiring KDF-only teams is acceptable on there too, 267 members normally 20-40 online and ~30 moderators total to self-regulate.

added line for defera, I really should have remembered that one

Thanks for setting that up I use it daily, great channel.

Unsure if it's been posted, but I did the first part of "bringing down the house" as a KDF alien, and when I reached Forcas (after being told by mission to GO there), there was no prompt or anything.

edit: Apparently it was simply a bug keeping me from entering systems. I managed to get it fixed.

The fireworks console works as long as you haven't already claimed it, I used it last week on one character and yesterday on another, unless the patch 24hours ago broke it, it is working fine for me.

As of today, my KDF character cannot acquire the fireworks reward. She's never claimed it before. Console location: 1260 50 865

This one is fixed as of 27 June patch, the unlock mission from Menbet that sends you to War Zones appears correctly now on KDF-Romulans, after that you have access to B'Eta's missions.
No fix on Torbak unlock missions tho... "keeping an eye peeled" still jheinig, dun leave me like that ;)

This one falls under Costumes Category.

There is a BOFF awarded for reaching Tier 4 of Maruading.
    It's a Defector BOFF, a Starfleet Species.
It's the KDF equivalent of the Diplomacy BOFF.

I acquired this BOFF 1 month after Maruading came out.

And as recently as yesterday, it is 100% completely uneditable!

Everytime I attempt to modify the appearance even slightly, it brings up a message about invalid costume parts and cancels the modification.

Lately, the error has been getting worse, the costume options can't even be modified at all.

In the early days, I was trying to use a specific kind of sleeveless shirt (because the BOFF is a Trill and this will allow you to see her spots more prominently).
Apparently, this option has been removed.

And it's not a costume limitation, the selection drop down button is disabled.

I contacted a few other players who had acquired this BOFF and chosen a species other then Trill, they have the same problem.

Bees like honey, they don't like vinegar.

thanks, that helps. updated, added in J'vak missing missions too

not sure what ""keeping an eye peeled" still jheinig, dun leave me like that ;)" means

everything else since my last update was already on the list

costumes are particular messy at the moment so I'm not inclined to see what was fixed or broken other than STF costumes seem to be mostly working

Was about a dev post when the fix got online on another thread...

I made some updates recently and sent them off to testing; with any luck, if they pass muster, they will be in an upcoming patch:

    - I lowered the minimum level for KDF characters to do their academy lore daily missions from 21 to 10.
    - I granted KDF-allied Romulans access to the handoff missions that send them to star clusters and arenas, and once you've completed one of those handoffs this should unlock the daily missions like "We Need Breathing Room."
    - I updated the Ker'rat entrance for Romulans so that they should be able to enter once they have chosen an ally and gained access to the Neutral Zone.
    - I hunted down a bit of coding that I think was responsible for the random faction-switching in Ker'rat.
    - I set up multiple respawn points for both sides in Ker'rat, so you should randomly respawn to different locations now. This should help to cut down a little on spawn camping, as a team would have to spread out its members to different points.
    - I worked with an artists to get the light cones in Ker'rat to have no collision, so you can't hide in them, get stuck in them, or use them to block line of fire. The cubes from which they emanate should still have collision.

I don't know when these updates will go into the build, as we are focused currently on getting the summer event ready to go and stable, but they should be in testing. Keep an eye peeled.

Oh yes I remember that post now.
Unfortunately it was not official patch release notes

The Ker'rat stuff was added, but I don't think any of the other stuff affecting KDF specifically was. (lore for sure wasn't)

    Doffing

Romulan(KDF) Doffs can't be given assignments by a KDF captain.

I just noticed this today when a romulan refugee didn't show up with the kdf refugees. So transfered to my Romulan captain and was able to assign no problem. Confirmed on another KDF captain could not assign a Romulan Quartermaster.

Basically Romulan captains can use Romulan and KDF Doffs. But KDF captains can only use KDF DOffs.

That's probably WAI. Romulan BOFFs and DOFFs are loyal to Romulan captains and are not allied with Fed/KDF. You can trade Romulan BOFFs and DOFFs beteen Romulan-Fed and Romulan-KDF and they will function the same for each of them, but you cant trade them to other factionss for deployment. The DOFFs in particular act like they are "wrong faction" and refuse all assignments, same as when you accidentally buy a Fed DOFF

    Thank You

So RRF Doffs only work with RRF captains. KDF Doffs work with RRF and KDF captains.

Boffs are a bit tricker. I remember a thread at launch where FED and KDF Boffs could not train RRF Boffs. But the FED could with a hack, I think later patches corrected it so both could?

Anyway, yesterday I tried to have a KDF Boff train my RRF Boff and the option would not come up. Today I sat down to find out the rules...and sometimes the option comes up other times not.

So the only restriction on Boff training is that KDF captains can not train RRF Boffs.

    DOFF RULES:
    1. RRF Doffs will not work for KDF captains
    2. KDF Doffs work with RRF and KDF captains

    BOFF RULES:
    1. RRF BOFF can not be assigned to KDF captains
    2. RRF BOFF can not be trained by KDF captains

    3. RRF BOFF can train KDF BOFF
    4. KDF BOFF can/bugged train RRF BOFF
    5. KDF BOFF can be trained by RRF captains
    6. KDF BOFF can be assigned to RRF captains

I cant say for sure what style unlock you need as I unlocked the options before reputation system.

I have the option both on an alien and liberated klingon. I do not have any females of other species.

just to be 100% sure and this is over-kill, you have completed:
    1. all 12 optionals (cure, infected, kithomer ground and space/normal and elite)
    2. own the full mk12 adapted ground khg set
    3. completed all 3 variant unlocks (type 2, 3 & 4)

again, overkill, my lib klingon hasn't gotten any of the space optional, isn't t-1 omega and hasn't unlocked any variant, but has the be'ves (grandfathered in).

or can someone else say with 100% certainty the post-rep requirements for this option

For now I'll put this on the bug list since I searched and have found other threads since rep reporting the same issue and no apparent fix

    another rule,

    How it worked before S7:
    1. get the full Mk XI set > "Honor Guard Veteran" accolade > unlocks base costume variants.
    2. get the full Mk XII set > "Honor Guard Elite" accolade > unlocks "Hos" costume variants.
    3. get all six Optionals on Elites > "Honor Guard Commander" accolade & "Honor Guard Elite Commander" accolade > unlocks "Be'ves" costume variants.

    How it should work now:
    1. get Reputation to T3 > get the full Mk XI set > "Honor Guard Veteran" accolade > do the "Costume Unlock: Type 1 Honor Guard" > unlocks base costume variants.
    2. get Reputation to T5 > get the full Mk XII set > "Honor Guard Elite" accolade > do the "Costume Unlock: Type 2 Honor Guard" > unlocks "Hos" costume variants.
    3. get all six Optionals on Elites > "Honor Guard Commander" accolade & "Honor Guard Elite Commander" accolade > do the "Costume Unlock: Type 3 Honor Guard" > unlocks "Be'ves" costume variants.
    4. get the full Mk XII adapted set > "Adapted Honor Guard Elite" accolade > do the "Costume Unlock: Type 4 Honor Guard" > unlocks "Quv" costume variants.

I cannot confirm that is bugged since i had my HG unlocks before S7 on all my toons, all i had to do was the type 4 unlock with the addition of the adapted set and that worked Ok. BUT i know for sure i had the Be'ves option without one optional from IGN so it is not tied to the "Honor Guard Specialist" accolade and to this extend not tied to any Normal optional.

Here's an odd one that afflicts my KDF captain, but not my Starfleet captain ...

The zone "door" on the galactic north side of the Narendra Sector in the Tau Dewa Sector Block that transfers to Mylasa Sector in the Psi Velorum Sector Block ... is extraordinarily BADLY misplaced. Flying my B'Rel Refit with my KDF captain in a galactic northerly direction (orthogonal), my ship "hits the wall" of the edge of the sector, but no Warp Permissions Screen comes up. However, flying in a Star Cruiser with my Starfleet captain, I do get a Warp Permissions Screen.

I am convinced that the reason for this disparity in performance is that the Star Cruiser is a "big" ship that occupies a larger volume of space, therefore when it "hits the wall" on the galactic north of Narendra Sector in the Tau Dewa Sector Block, the Star Cruiser is "big enough" to trigger the "door" access and get the Warp Permission Screen to pop up. The B'rel Refit however is a "smaller" ship that occupies less volume, and thus when it "hits the wall" on the galactic north of the Narendra Sector, it doesn't "overhang" beyond the edge enough to trigger the Warp Permission Screen.

This is an annoyance, beyond just the simple "this looks broken" appearance, because it blocks the proper circulation of travel schemes and routes for Tour the Galaxy runs, by introducing a "one way flow direction" for travel that benefits some preferred Starfleet circulations (from Mylasa to Narendra, no problems) while harming some preferred KDF circulations (from Narendra to Mylasa, must detour and backtrack in order to get through unnecessary blockage).

The cause of this problem is almost certainly a badly/poorly (mis)placed "door" contact zone, that merely needs shifting galactic southwards to fix (ie. ought to be an EASY FIX).

If tats the case, it seems it isn't a kdf specific problem, except in your situation, as FEDs have tiny ships and KDF have giant ships too.

Most likely the QA people tested it with giant romulan ships. in any case, its a bit outside the scope of the thread since it doesn't create a disparity between the factions.

added. but functionally they are proper though, right? is it just using the art for the wrong gun or was it made cartoonishly long?

The new (to the KDF) missions dialogue is copy+pasted, the NPCs refer to you as Starfleet officers and some transporter effects like when beaming people to your ship are still the blue fed one.

Issues are in the series Dominion Domination from the first episode after the prologue called Badlands and finish at The New link , missions after that are ok as they were changed to suit the KDF.

    Add This As Well...

Gigantic Lack of Vo's which were promised for the KDF. Only VO that you actually would say the whole cahat, not just a random species/intentional saying (like I fight for honor! and the chat says somehting about a big report) The Romuans, for example, got VO at its fullest from Point Tutorial to point "Do Factional Missions Now".... so we NEED VO

TIP- I would love factional kits like that. I would LOVE to hadnle Saurs!

EDIT> VERY WEAK Story! They just go straigt to the point! Barley any chat to read, minus the fact no VO!!! Like that Prison Break, once you get inside the priso, you get rambled at... like he escaped now GET HIM! Trust me.. make a New Klingon, and THEN do the missions... see how dull they are!

I can see what most resources of STO went to for this Expansion, and I see a same pattern occuring of KDF not getting much.... even though they were promised to be complete BEFORE Romuans.. I guess NOT!
R'tolves Will Spread Thier Peace and Will Prevail Over the Hostiles Who Dare Hurt Such A Isolationist Consitutional Monarchy!

My apologies for my tardiness in responding.
To confirm, yes I do have all 12 optionals (had them pre rep on most toons including the affected female kdf).
I do own the completed mk 12 adapted khg ground set.
I have completed all 3 variant unlocks.
I even completed the mk x khg set to see if that would help, but as I feared it did not.

I must note that I completed them out of order. I completed the xii first, then the xii outfit, then the adapted and it's outfit, then the optionals outfit (minus the beves for obvious reasons) and then the mk xi (for similar reasons to the mk x gear. Even if It didn't help, it will be useful for boffs!).

After all of that, I still only have the one helmet (from the base mk 12) and still lack the be'ves.

I've recently started doing the omega ground sets from mk x upwards, just to see if completing those sets will nudge it into working. I'm not holding my breath and it's going to be a while!

As for the Nausicaan trait being space or ground, until recently I had a toon called "Rug" who was a Nausicaan tac. I wish I'd took the screen shot now, because I originally picked him for the damage bonus I thought I would get in space (this was back in S5). I remember it being something like 7% or 8% buff to damage. But I looked at him again before deleting him and noticing that it was something dire, like 0.0something% both on the ground and in space. Really really low number.
Wish I'd taken shots before deleting him now!
    I need a beer.
