I think what you want already exists on the Nebula class ship. It's called tachyon detection grid or something like that.

The thing is,, I don't want to change ships or any gear to do it. I'm quite happy with my bug ship, or my fleet defiant retrofit. Spock and McCoy modified a torpedo. coulda been launched from a shuttlecraft for all anyone cares. The fact is, it's old-school, and needs to be available to ALL factions as a device slot item.

    • Endgame TOS Constitution
    • Tantalus Field Device for the Captain's Quarters (once interiors become more meaningful, that is)

What you're looking for is called the "Ionized Gas Sensor" and it's available to all factions. And I'm sure you wouldn't want to change your Fed and Lockbox inherent advantages for a console-less cloak. I get by one console down in my Defiant just fine.

Factions have specific advantages. I don't feel like that should be something that needs clarifying.

Thank you very much. I've been trying to find an answer in-game to no avail and finally posted in desperation. I will search for it if Cryptic ever fixes the game launcher. Got server not responding for 2 minutes straight in a STF, which cleared up long enough for me to NOT get my Nukara Marks Packages and a leave map now option, and finally disco'd from server and have not been able to log in since then.

I'll definately search for that item if the monkey's holding the wrench's can find the "Stable" button.

sidenote: I don't do the lockbox thing. I bought the bug ship off the exchange full price. I have nothing good to say about lockboxes lol. Others wanna waste real-money on them, or spend countless hours grinding dilithium to zen for a "chance" (incredibly small chance) for those ultra rare items is fine by me. EC is easier/faster to farm :)

Thanks again for your help! Yes, factions need unique abilities, but pvp needs balance. Something I'm sure the devs will eventually address.

TR-116 complete with that nice scope and mini-transporter, available in either the Z-Store or Lobi.

Custom uniforms for your crew, and ability to save different uniforms for different ships.

A fully selectable crafting system, i.e., you pick the add-ons for Uncommon, Rare, and Very Rare instead of the crappy choices currently available.

Modifiable Personal Weapon Designs (appearance, not functions), including color.

    A Sand-box style Ship creator.

Ability to change ship energy weapon colors.

Will add more at a later date.

I don't recall if this is technically a "lore" item as per the OP, however, With all the overpowered cloak capable klink & rommie toons in-game, we need an activateable device that when launched (No Target Required) will de-cloak those pesky hit and run tactic dependant players.. I have PLENTY of unpleasant terms to describe this style of gameplay. I'm certain there's been at least one occasion where "surgery on a torpedo" resulted in being able to spot a cloaked ship so as to even the odds.

And while we're at it,, Why does my Fed Character's cloaking "DEVICE" take up a "CONSOLE" slot... but other factions cloaking device is built into the ship and show's up in the captains tray,,,? What the what!???!?

Got a smidge off-topic there, but damn that irks me. Anyway, MUCH needed device slot item to decloak a most unpleasant over-used pvp tactic. Heck, if KIRK could do it, why the heck can't we (centuries later) have a more up-to-date ingame method which DOESN'T require running a VERY USELESS Jem'Hadar Space Set. Nuthin beats 2-piece borg + shield of choice. Thoughts? Ideas? Wrong Thread?

Because the Cloak for the Fed side is an addition permitted by an amendment to the Treaty of Algeron which prevents the Federation from developing Cloaking technology but allows them to use cloaks provided by a cloak capable species. KDF and ROM integrate the technology.

I've seen a few requests for Bajoran phaser weapons, there are already a Bajoran phaser pistol and phaser rifle included in the C-Store DS-9 Bundle. They're available in both the Federation and Klingon versions of the pack.

This character is why I don't play my Romulan any more. Tovan Khev is NOT my BFF! Get him off my bridge!

Title says it all, are there any oddities, items ships or other things you'd like to see in the game? I'll start it off:

Varon-T Disruptor: Ultimate brutal weapon, would fit well as a Romulan high-end reward.

    Probes!
A quintessential star trek "dirty trick" is the overloaded probe (great for tac officer ability). On top of that there's the sci-officer potential of having them used as intended. For engineers there could be one that has, say, a moving repair radius or some kind of debuff (bayrons?)

Husnock Warship: A great excuse for a powerful cross-faction escort-type ship.

Kzinti: rather than making up more disposable bad-guy races, use one from TOS. Their police vessel would make a great non-factional shuttle/small craft.

1 -How bout an actual Borg Cube, sphere or one of those little ships... That would be cool, (though of course have it so that if you use that ship against the Borg, it won't cause any damage due to the fact that the Borg can adapt to it's own tech quite easily.)

    or

    2 - a cloak console...

Lots more melee options such as:

    Jem'Hadar Kar'takin

nausicaan energy lance (melee energy weapon)

    The famous Klingon d'k tahg

    Dual-wield melee weapons

    Klingon Mek'leth

    Klingon Gin'tak spear

    Nanopulse tsunkatse falchion

    Nanopulse tegolar Sword

Some of these are already in use by NPC's so it won't take too much work to actually make them playable.
