Enemy NPC's not detonating on 0% hull

I have just had three bugs in one go...

I forget the mission, but a cardassian ship upon reaching 0% hull would simply not explode even with it's shields completely depleted and it was only wave 1 of 3. Mission is uncompletable.

I tried to /bug report it, but there was a little window telling me the server could not be contacted.

Tried to report it to a GM, but got the same error report.

Please note this is not the usual "Server Not Responding" I get about once an hour, I still remain in game.

I remember when I used to stop playing STO because I got tired. Now I just hit a game-breaking bug and lose the will to continue.

well, there is one mission that which once you reduce a specific cardassian ship to 0 hull, it's done. You gotta clear the rest of the sector and then board that ship

I would have assumed that the NPC would stop firing at me at this point. The ship just carried on firing. I cloaked while I filled in the /bug report, which failed to connect. WHile I was cloaked, aggro was lost and the ship returned to full health. But again, the ship went to 0% and was still firing on me.

In the end I just quit.

This mission is "Bigger Picture" and its the "Vanishing Point" part of it right after inspecting the Cardassian ship, the first ship of three waves just goes to 0% hull but it continues to fire at you. I just tried again, a few hours after the initial attempt. This mission is completely broken.

EDIT: I exited back into sector space and I am unable to drop the mission. The button is grey and unclickable. So what gives? Devs?

I believe that's one of the Romulan Missions?

If so, I believe that you have to be near the orangish nebula-cloud for the mission to complete.

Watch the mini-map for the shaded area and try to stay in that when dealing with the Cardassian ships.

That worked for me during the Beta Test on Tribble.

    (it is a BUG BTW)

    Which Mission?

More details would be helpful, so that we can help you.

I had already edited the post before your reply. See above for mission.

I tried that, but the ship doesn't advance until you leave the cloud. There is a green circle/waypoint, but I spent the entire battle in it. But it never got rid of the first ship.

    EDIT:

Just tried keeping it near the yellow cloud. Again the ship will not explode. Its a big bug as I cannot even drop the mission. Its effectively stopped my progression. :(

When you are done dealing with the arriving Cardassian ships (after inspecting the damaged one), you have to go back into the cloud and destroy that ship to finish the mission.

So it's the first of the arriving waves that are the problem...

I know it's annoying, but if all else fails...,

You could DROP the mission and start it again.

Whoops, I see you tried that...

    hummmmnnn....:(

Was it the arriving ships that you fight, that wouldn't blow-up or the one in the cloud?

The arriving Galor ship, not the one in the cloud.

    This is quite perplexing...

I haven't reached this mission yet with my Holodeck Rommie, so I'm trying to remember back to how it went during my Beta play-through...

I wish I could be a bit more helpful. :o

I noticed in your screen-shot that the Mini-Map shows a Light-Green Indicator-Arrow pointing toward the right of the map...

Perhaps you should try flying in that direction to see if there is something over in that area that will trigger the next part of the mission???

It goes to the aforementioned area, where I have tried over and over to kill the little bugger...
That screenshot was actually something stranger yet. The Galor in that ship was flying right towards the edge of the map and it was not until I engaged combat he turned and fought me. I had to chase him.

Could it be that the ship is outside the playing area?

I've had that happen to me in other missions.

That might be why it's not triggering the ship to explode.

Not really sure how to solve that one. :(
