    also getting "Unable to authenticate" , every time cryptic do server work things go to pot after a few hours . whats going on ?

    just woke up and thought I'd log in before work. Apparently, I thought wrong. Also getting the "unable to authenticate" error.

    Having the same issue, on the web page my account also says I no longer have a subscription (which is interesting, since I bought a lifetime subscription when the game first released back in January 2010).

    I think they might be having server issues.

    Nor only was I not able to log into holodeck after the patch NOW when I try to log in it states 'cannot authenticate'. I'm am out $124.99 from a game I was able to play since launch and now cannot even log into :mad:

    Same... This game, I swear. I've been around since beta and it's still as rickety and cantankerous as the day it launched.

    Yep. Went to change characters and ... connection failed... seems the login server has stopped functioning.

    i am having the exact same trouble. I was online earlier today, same exact network... OH CRYPTIC AND PWE, get on this NOW. I wanna play my Rommie

    3 hours ago I was playing perfectly fine.. fact I manage to log out and log into onther computer, fine.... now I come back after watching Into Darkness for the 2nd time... *love the movie* -Spock 'KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN'...

    and now im back and I cant log in either...

    "Unable to authenticate"

    Got it after a crash on switching character. Put your log in info, click login, unable to authenticate.

    I'm a free-player and about 5 minutes ago I got booted off and now I get "unable to authenticate" from the launcher as well.

    This is getting crazy. With as much money as I have pumped into this game for the last three years...you would think that I could login into the gods damn POS...

    SO YEAH...I AM GETTING UNABLE TO AUTHENTICATE...IT IS 5/27/13 @ 942PM/PST.

    FWIW, it's the same on all Cryptic games. So if they have anyone available on Memorial Day (a federal holiday here in the US), they've noticed.

    Yep, same here. Unable to authenticate and showing as subscription inactive. But I signed up for lifetime... DOES THIS MEAN I'VE DIED?!

    Same Issue here. Its just that their servers can't handle the load of people. After people give up and go do something else things will probably do better. Its just sad that's the way it has to be. They'd make more money on this game with better servers. But they turn people away because of poor planning.

    BTW - The Account Server is also down. I got disconnected, out of the blue, and it wouldn't let me log back in because it was timing out. So I closed down the client and now it can't Authenticate

    Hi Captains! Logins will be back in just a moment. If you're in-game, you're unaffected. If you're not, you should be able to login shortly.

    Same here. switched toons and it clicked off and had to relog and couldn't auth.

    Yep, Lost the sound, logged out, and I couldn't log back in. Unable to Authenticate...:mad:

    I am having the exact same problem. I am subscribed to STO and when I go into my account it says inactive and when I try to log into STO or Neverwinter I get a message saying unable to authenticate.
