Task bar shows up in game

Hi all,

Slight graphical glitch that's come out of the blue; previously played the game on Windowed, Fully Maximum mode with the game occupying fullscreen. I logged in a couple of days ago and noticed my windows taskbar showing. Now, when I first boot up the game, this is normal, clicking anywhere on-screen from the splash screen onward makes the task bar disappear and STO becomes fullscreen.

Now, not so, the task bar is persistently there. Tweaking the settings to make the game Fullscreen, almost does the trick, but I can see the taskbar flickering and flashing through the game.
Annoyingly, when I click anywhere near the bottom of the screen, STO seems to think I'm trying to access the taskbar and minimizes the game. I haven't changed any of my settings in quite some time, so I can't think of anything I might have done to bring this on.

Any help would be appreciated!

Onee thing that may help, is select <Autohide> on the taskbar properties page.

My taskbar also flicker in and out. No other games have this except STO.
I played neverwinter online without problems.

It happens about every other second or a tad faster even.

When it does flicker, and i am holding forward at that moment, my movement stops.
Pretty annoying for running around as i have to re-press my forward key every 2 seconds.:(

Anyone else having similar problems or have a solution.

I'm not sure it's going to help anything.
Try and remove the stay on top function on your task bar if it's on.

Always on top function is already off.

Its weird that only STO has this. No other application or game has this problem.

This problem about the game minimizing if I click near the area of my task bar isn't new to me. Sometimes even causes the game to crash.

I'm using Win 7, the task bar is set to disappear on the upper border.
Had it on te left hand side, before, with the same result.
The game is set to fullscreen.

But sometimes, I encounter some other problem, there, as there are some hidden buttons in the upper right corner. And in some situations, it happens that the cursor seems to jump to these buttons if I close in on them - though I stopped quite a bit before reaching them.
Had me wondering why the game stopped so abruptly, first...
