Sound Cracks

Hello,
after the LoR Update the Sound Cracks are back for me. Permantly crack every 10-20 seconds
that sucks its no Fun to Play STO with that. :( I have a Creative SB X-FI Fatal1ty

    I also noticed some sound crackling coming out of my rear speakers during game play.

    Was also occurring every 10 or so seconds, but it cleared up when I finished the ground mission I was on.

    been an ongoing problem for quite a while on tribble. they've screwed something up with sound and haven't commented about it.

    Started crackling again and not stopping this time.

    By 'crackling', do you guys mean that some sounds go silent?

    For example, I notice that when I play missions... sometimes I don't hear the sounds my weapons make, or abilities. Often, I don't even hear dialogue in some cutscenes...

    Roughly ever 15-30 seconds I hear a cracking sound in the left or right speaker. Its basically a pop and then a resonate effect shortly after.

    At first I thought it was my headset, but upon further testing it only occurs when STO is running.

    Ive tried various other games and done a few RTS games with the capacity to spam sound sources to just test how good the speakers are, nothing happened (aside from me going oh god why).

    I'm using a G780 plantronics, and its only recently started doing this in STO, I was playing a few hours prior to update and it wasn't occurring at all.

    Its not the drivers either, I've updated the drivers already, I've checked and tested all my usb ports (2.0 and 3.0). So far there is no reason for me to believe that its hardware related, it seems to be STO's latest patch.
